Deck Description

I was expecting to see a lot more Dragon Priest, but there hasn't been a ton on the ladder. Eloise had a good run with this list, going 24 and 8 on the ladder. It does use a couple new cards, a surprise inclusion of Power Word: Tentacles that kind of acts like Velen's Chosen. It also adds Scaled Nightmare which could get pretty crazy if given a couple of turns to grow and maybe even buffed with the Power Word: Tentacles!

    Why the forbidden shaping?
    Replacement?

      Fills out the mana curve, I'm not sure it's super important though. Second Cabal Shadow Priest or Entomb.

    Since everyone is blowing up the board with legendarys in C'Thun deck, do you think it would be viable to replace 1x Shadow:pain for a 2nd Entomb?

      That's fine, but you're going to be weaker in the early game.

      try museum curator, also fix your curve if you pick well and you can play it in the mean while anytime.

    I'm plaing dragon priest for a long time, and in standard to, but i still have to understand how it fits in the actual meta. I have tried the scaled nightmare, and, sincerely, it sucks. it is a late game card that have to stand alive 3 turns to do something.
    I dont have the forbidden shaping, and i dont get the sense in the deck, the curve is pretty solid.
    The midnight dragon is a good surprise, let you add some pressure if there is no fast response.
    i run instead of the shaping 2 museum curator that often give me deathwing!
    In my opinion 2 entomb are mandatory, there are a lo of big minion, a lot of silvanas, tyrion, cthun to big to deal otherwise.

    Replaced Deathwin Dragonlord for Chillmaw as its super strong against aggressive decks like aggro-shaman. Replaced Forbidden Shaping for the second Entomb cause i dont like the card that much. The deck became incredibly consistent and does very good against cancer decks! Climbed from 18 to 11 in a couple hours.

    Nice deck. Just went 10-2 from rank 18->14. only change I've made is Sylvanas for Cabal.

    Tentacles has a bad reputation but people don't expect it and having a huge taunt in the mid-game can be great.

    I'm still not sold on Scaled Nightmare as he seems inconsistent and there are better options at the 6 spot. But he does act as a taunt and if you can set him up next to a taunt he can be good.

    Looking forward to see if this deck will work at higher ranks.

    Hey I'm thinking to change deathwing for chillmaw because of the amount of aggro decks,does it's a good idea or I better stay with deathwing?

      Good idea, I'm not a big fan of Dragonlord.
