Changes To Arena Experience (Including Gold Rewards) Coming Soon

In Patch 32.4, we had a huge Arena update, splitting the format into two versions – Arena (more casual) and Underground (more competitive).

While the overall gameplay experience has been received quite well (with some exceptions, such as the usual balance concerns), what hasn’t been great is the economy – especially when it comes to Underground version.

Blizzard is finally replying to criticism – or well, at least acknowleding it. According to the social media post they just released, there are some changes planned to the format soon. We sadly don’t have any specifics yet, but we know that the changes include adjustments to Gold rewards.

I hope that they manage to squeeze in the changes into the next major patch (33.0), because that’s when the new Arena season begins (and it would be weird to make significant updates in the middle of the season).

We’ve been listening closely to your feedback on the new Arena experience. Our team is actively working on updates to better align with how you love to play—and yes, that includes changes to gold rewards.

Thanks for your passion and patience as we fine-tune the mode. More details coming soon—stay sharp, Arena champions!
