Three original cosmetic Heroes – Alleria, Magni and Medivh – were available in shop for $9.99 ever since 2015. Everyone has wondered whether we’ll get more of them eventually, since further Hero skins were added as free rewards, as well as sold through expansion pre-orders and pack bundles. Recently, all three were discounted to $6.99, and not long after that we’ve learned the reason. Today – December 9 – is the last day they will be available in shop. After that, they rotate out and you will no longer be able to buy them. No one really knows if they will come back at some point in the future, but most likely not soon, so if you want to get one of them, now’s your last chance.
The good news is that this section of shop won’t remain empty – we’re getting a new Hero to replace them. Sylvanas Windrunner is coming to Hearthstone as a Hunter Hero, and she looks really amazing! Just like the previous three, she will be available for $9.99. It’s cool that such an iconic Hero is not tied to any card bundle or expansion, so even if you miss her now you have an opportunity to get them at any time in the future if you want. Additionally, Tyrande Whisperwind will be available in the shop once again, but players will be able to claim her for free.
Blizzard is doing a major overhaul of the shop in general – you will be able to get old adventures and Wild packs once again in game, for example. What’s notable is that Wild packs will be purchasable with Gold, which should be a big sigh of relief for F2P Wild players. Read more about it in the latest patch notes.

Yeah, I thought that the shop’s overhaul will come out with expansion’s release today, but it happened yesterday already, ~8 hours after I created this post.

Can’t understand why you’d want to run Alleria when Sylvanas is a possibility.
I also like Sylvanas more, but Alleria ain’t bad at all.
Plus, if someone plays a lot of Hunter, he might want to diversify 🙂
And last, but not least, she’s $3 cheaper for what it’s worth.
