Across the Timeways expansion is releasing next week, and just like every set, it will come with a rewards track refresh. On November 4, all players will be reset to Level 1 and start earning new rewards as they climb back up. Here’s a summary:
Once again, the free rewards track remains pretty much the same as before. The total number of reward haven’t changed – we’re just getting packs/cards from the new expansion instead. We’re also continuing the last few expansions’ trend of having a random Legendary at Level 1 (in this case, a random Fabled Legendary) and the “actual” free expansion Legendary at Level 20.
The paid rewards (Tavern Pass) has one change compared to last time. Instead of the usual 11 skins, we’re only getting 8 skins. 3 skins for level 100 have been replaced by a Signature Fabled card – Azure Queen Sindragosa. While Fabled Signatures are pretty nice because they are technically 3 cards in one, it’s hard to say whether it’s a downgrade or an upgrade. That’s up to the personal perference, I guess.
This expansion’s free Legendary every player gets at Level 20 is Chrono-Lord Deios. In practice, Level 20 is not hard to get at all (especially if you keep your Dailies/Weeklies), but if you wanted to play it right away on launch (or during the Pre-Release Brawl)… well, sorry, no can do. As usual, the card is uncraftable and not disenchantable.
Tavern Pass has a single new Diamond card – Chromie at Tavern Pass Level 2. For collecting 27 Legendary cards from the expansion, players are getting two Signature cards – Stormrook and Sandmaw (the rarities are the same as last time, but in the past we could get a Legendary card from this achievement). We also have two new cosmetic coins in the expansion – Clockwork Coin (Tavern Pass Level 90) and Sundial Coin (Owning 145 expansion cards). Keep in mind that progressing those achievements will be easier when mini-set releases because the requirements for cosmetics don’t increase (but the pool of cards grows so it’s easier to get them).
Tavern Pass also includes a bunch of other cosmetics like Signature and Golden cards, Hero skins, card back + non-cosmetic card packs. But those are mostly the same as they’ve been for the last few expansions.
