Tirion Removed from Battlegrounds Soon, Balance Patch ~2 Weeks From Now, No Constructed Changes Planned

Senior Game Designer Dean “Iksar” Ayala tweeted some interesting info, mostly about Battlegrounds balance changes. Here’s what he said:

  • Tirion is getting removed from Battlegrounds later this week or early next week. (It’s an unquestionable #1 Hero for a few weeks now, recently Deathwing challenged it but ended up being #2.)
  • Battlegrounds balance update should come out during the week of 16th-20th (~2 weeks from now). I’m nearly sure that Deathwing will get nerfed, but other than that I wonder what they might be changing.
  • There are currently no plans for Standard or Wild balance changes until after expansion (something I’ve mentioned a few times, the meta has no huge outliers and balance patches close to new content don’t make much sense).

Glad to see Tirion going, he’s boring and OP.
Would love to see Cobalt at tier 4 as well.
I think if they nerf/remove rat pack that would be enough to stop Deathwing from being insane.

would cripple beasts to much to lose rat pack
since ratpack feeding hyena is their best strategy.
and since beats are already on the weaker end would have to give the clan a whole new strategy.

best way to balance it would be making it a start of battle effect perhaps so tokens wouldnt be affected
