The hype is building in anticipation of a new adventure mode being announced, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for a couple of new decks to join the meta! In particular, a new Warlock Zoo iteration finished #1 on the NA Ladder, and a Tempo Mage deck scored a high finish on EU!
Warlock
There were whispers (Dark Wispers, hehehe…) that Zoo was dead, and Mech Mage had taken its place. That might be the case, but GodkillerWX knocked down the top spot in February with his version of the deck. This could just be that the deck isn’t seen often and people mulligan for Demonlock/Handlock now, but it also could be the start of a Zoo-volution… I’ll show myself out.
Mage
We all know Mech Mage is strong, but there’s a new Mage deck that is making waves: Tempo Mage. The deck was developed by the players at Team H2K. Pesty presented the deck on Reddit, and it made an impact on the ladder and against Firebat at the ESL Katowice Legendary Series.
Not much change in the rest of the classes, so I’ll just list the strongest decks from each.
