I honestly don’t like the idea of aggro having tech against control. Aggro vs control matchup is already favored for aggro most of the time, and I feel like this card could really fuck taunt based control decks. Might be garbage though. Either way aggro is getting some crazy stuff this expansion — a little worrying as a control player.
No aggro deck will use this, it´s too expensive. Zoo for example uses voidwalker, argus. Shamans have totems, feral and thing from below. It has many targets, which makes it more consistent.
I think this is better than people are giving it credit. Most of the time you will have some form of either removal or minions on the board. If you have a taunt creature that can be killed by what you already have on the board on turn 5 then this is five to the face and a decent stat line. Not saying it’s an auto include in face decks, but any deck that wastes it’s mana for taunt minion stat lines will be even further behind on health. This will be a solid tech card if there are more control decks with big taunts that can be silenced or sapped…
Great arena card
Best conditional charge card. Helps aggro decks get past a taunt. It is more likely your opponent has a taunt creature than no cards in hand or six cards in hand. Not great, but maybe okay in an aggro deck that goes against a lot of taunts. Might be played if taunt warrior ends up being viable.
It’ll depend on which taunts are played in constructed. I feel like it will be decent if the 2-cost 2/6 is very played
Aggro has also taunts. Voidwalker, Argus, Feral Spirit, Basic Totem, Thing From Below. There are lots of taunts used in many decks.
