When you play this nowadays… no one knows what the hell you’re doing so you essentially auto win. It’s great. Also, helps that it can double as a Reno.

I slapped it with full upgraded Spellstone (after opponent ignored it and went face) then followed it up with a crackle to the opponents face (with Thalnos) for another Reno esque heal. Good times.

Play this, play elemental destruction, play Eternal Sentinal —> win

Pity the top shaman right now is agro and in agro shaman this deck is utterly worthless. But in a world where control shaman exists this card is great especially with aoe effects. But until then this card is one to keep an eye out for but it’s not game changing on it’s own. Shaman needs more late game cards (good 8+ cards) for this card to become REALLY good.

for those of you that think the stats are lack luster. True it’s not as good as the 5/6 blank pit fighter but 1 attack for a “very interesting” effect is not a big deal at all a 4/6 body for 5 mana is not the end of the world if you have to play it for tempo. Again main problem is “does shaman need healing”.

This sounds like a pretty good card for a control shaman deck..

    Question:

I play “Hallazeal the Ascended” and next “Elemental Destruction”.

There are 4 Minions on the Board.
How many heal i will get? ^^ (16-20?)

Heal + Boardclear? Holy Moly? ^^

Yes, you’ll get whatever damage you do with Elemental Destruction healed back to you.

Just watch Kripparrian’s video reveal of the card to get better idea of why this card is good.

People going this is horrible I just want to note that standard is coming, and with standard we have no idea what is going to happen with the meta, plus not all shaman cards are revealed and there may be some cards that work well with this, so keep that in mind

    I love this shaman legendary

i play shaman all the time and i only go for minion damage but with this, i will play more spells

i love the shaman class and its growing stronger…

will craft it wen the expansion comes out, it’s nr 1 on my list now

Also note that most of the super aggressive cards are disappearing so the game will HOPEFULLY slow down.

All of you guys saying it’s bad look at it this way: The power level is being kept down this expansion. Did you look at the priest legendary? It’s decent not amazing. This card gives good healing that could easily help you win the race against another aggressive deck. It’s not AMAZING but it’s not a bad card and Blizzard wants cards to be more balanced this expansion. Overall it’s a sturdy card that’s not broken. I prefer my mistcaller 😉 But I don’t hate this card. It could help win some matchups.

aggro probably won’t survive in standard. at least eveyone who does will probably find the wild format more suitable for that. in a control matchup where its back and forth between minions, the moment you lose board control ESPECIALLY on Shaman it’s over. they lack board presence and comeback potential and shamans are getting only 1 value generator out of evolution card. whats the point of healing if you’re gonna lose board? you’re just going to take that damage back again. the amount of value you get out of healing is probably non-existant until anything below mid-range minions becomes meta again

At first glance, the only real use for this guy is in a Malygos-Burst style Shaman, and we know from experience that those don’t work, outside of a few niche situations.

However, it heals your hero based upon the damage dealt by your spells, not necessarily damage dealt to players. He can make for a huge tempo swing on turn 8 by following him with Lightning Storm or, gods forbid, Elemental Destruction. And considering that most of the really sticky critters are rotating out with Naxx and GvG, ED might finally have a place if it can also heal you for half your health or more.

Lol, but it is really true, with standard shaman is pushed higher because most of their good stuff is tgt and if they got a high quality legendary that could push them top tier(not really toptier but u get what im saying)

i was like “uhm this seems pretty good…” then you made me realize that this is a legendary card… i didn’t notice that… why shaman always get bad legendaries? other people have stuff like Tyrion Fordring or Aviana or Archmage Antonidas… it’s simply not fair.

Did you see many people play Aviana in constructed?
