Battlegrounds Changes Coming Soon – Khadgar/Brann Triple Trick No Longer Working, Junkbot Moved to Tier 4, New Minion Types Are in the Works

Dean “Iksar” Ayala was interviewed by Chinese website Yingdi, which asked a lot of questions about Battlegrounds. Dean addressed a few commonly discussed points, such as the recent Khadgar “exploits”. Here’s a quick summary:

• Battlegrounds patch is coming soon, in 1-1.5 weeks (my guess would be next Thursday, before BlizzCon). Dean also said that Battlegrounds should be updated more frequently in the future.
• Brann/Khadgar tripling trick will no longer work like it does right now. Tripling animation will happen AFTER everything is summoned, which means that players will no longer be able to get multiple triples from a single token generator – regular board size limitations will apply.
• New minion types are in the works. This is interesting, because Iksar used plural here, and the only minion type that’s not in BG yet is Totem. Maybe they’re developing something only for Battlegrounds?
• Darkmoon Prizes system had a good response initially, but it’s getting stale now, because everyone knows which ones are the best and how to use them. We should learn when they go away soon.
• Junkbot will be moved from T5 to T4.
