Battlegrounds 26.2 Update (Season 4) Rollout – Dev Talks, New Minion Types – Part 5 (Quilboar & Mechs) Is Now Out!

Update: Dev talk #5 is now out together with the release of an updated Quilboar & Mech minion types!

Battlegrounds is getting one of its biggest updates to date very soon, and to prepare players for it, Blizzard is releasing a series of “dev talk” videos. They’re meant to showcase the update and add some extra context to the update.

Patch 26.2 will be the first one ever rolled out in phases. Instead of the whole content releasing on patch day, it will go live with only 6 minion types available and the new ones will be added over the next ~2 weeks. Here’s a full schedule for the upcoming Battlegrounds update:

• May 3: Dev Talk 1
• May 4: Playtest Preview Event
• May 8: 26.2 Patch Notes
• May 9: Dev Talk 2; Patch 26.2 goes live with minion phase one (Beasts, Murlocs, Dragons, Elementals, Naga, and Undead)
• May 11: Dev Talk 3; Pirates are added to the minion pool
• May 15: Dev Talk 4; Demons are added to the minion pool
• May 22: Dev Talk 5; Quilboar and Mechs are added to the minion pool
