Card Review & Interactions

This card has nice ramp potential, but the starting stats might make it a little too weak to actually see play. 2/7 for 5 is bad. You’d realistically need to get it to 6/7 before you’d actually want to put it into your deck. So your minions need to attack 4 times before this card is something you’d want to play. And then it snowballs.

But attacking 4 times is not that easy. This card is only good if you already have a few minions on the board and you can drop this and buff it immediately. If you’re behind on the board, it’s too slow. Even with 1 or 2 minions on the board, it might be too slow.

It synergizes with Rush minions, and it buffs itself after it attacks too, but I just can’t see it working too well. Warrior decks aren’t really about flooding the board. And with just a few minions, this will simply ramp up too slowly to be viable.

Maybe it could see play in some board flood deck, but right now there are no Warrior cards that would support such a thing. Which means that it doesn’t look good. You have to do some work to even bring this card into playable state, and then still do more work before it actually snowballs enough, making it too slow in the decks Warrior might play.

Gurubashi Berserker with an arguably better effect if tempo warrior becomes a thing. This with at least 2 other minions on board already is honestly already pretty good value. Plus you'll be playing rush minions turns after playing this, so getting +however many attack immediately in that same turn is vv good

  2. Thraben

This is surprisingly good card, starting to love the Rush warrior theme more and more.

Then again this card makes me wonder even more what Blizzard was thinking with the legendary tower that can't attack.. bleh.

Seems amazing to me since Rush Warrior will most likely be a thing. Play it on tempo and you should at least have a 3/7 for 5 mana. Ten stats for 5 is good and it will only get bigger. The next turn it will get +1 for itself attacking too, so I could see this thing getting huge pretty fast.

  4. Threather

This card is good. Its gonna be hard for it to be played just because it can get removed without doing anything but, its a good card. Especially in arena.

    play on curve

  6. DukeStarswisher

This actually will be great for aggro decks who have a wide board at turn 5. With at least 4 minions down, it will be a 5 mana 6/7.

Maybe not on the same power level of Darkshire Librarian, but Blizzard shoving rush warrior down your throat it's pretty clear this is a strong card.

Call me a skeptic, but I don't see this as a better Gurubashi Berserker. Sure, it can combo very nicely with Hunting Mastiff or Unleash The Hounds... if it survives after you drop it on Turn 5. Looks like a win-more card. 2 stars out of 5.

      >Combos with hunting mastiff or unleash the hounds
      >Is a warrior card

        My bad.

      Huh? Ok.....

Yep, didn't realise it was a Warrior card.

  9. FlashCam

Synergy question : When this attacks, does it buff itself ?

    1. FlashCam

      Never mind it does

THE COMBO: Play Mayor Nogginfoger then next turn faceless manipulator twice on him, then next turn paly Festeroot Hulk and 3 other minions. THEN next turn attack with everyone but the Festeroot last. Because the mayor's redirection most likely causes the Festeroot's attack to go up each time, your Festeroot will get 7*4 + 2 attack, giving him 30 damage to face. METE DEFINING!

    1. Nobodgh

Doesn't Faceless Manipulator have to TARGET Mayor Nogginfoger.

I.E Would have to have an empty board.
