17.0.3 Arena Balance Update – Demon Hunter & Priest Nerfs

A server side hotfix went through a few hours ago. It contained another round of Arena micro-adjustments, specifically targeting Demon Hunter and Priest, which were noticeably better than other classes.

Find the official post below:

Hey everyone,

We are currently deploying a hotfix (17.0.3) that will make some minor adjustments to card offering rates in Arena. These changes update the appearance rate of cards to ensure class balance remains close to the ideal 50% win-rate. Specifically, the win-rates of Demon Hunter and Priest should now decrease and the win-rates of the rest of the classes should now increase.

This hotfix will take place on the server side, so you will not have to download anything.

I used to be an arena only player. But now i play constructed and BG more. I guess that was the strategic direction of HS for last year.

Arena needs more love and allot of brainstorming for it to be refreshed if possible?

look forward to a run on arena with this new balance update.

Yeah, I wonder what they could do about Arena to make it more popular and lively. It’s not a “dead format” or anything, but it certainly feels underappreciated by players and devs alike.

I think lowering cost will make people play arena more.

Or having an event for arena (e.g. 2 class arena) we already have this format why not make it possible every now and then and add more spice to it.

It’s just fine. :/ We really need a balance change, like offers cards with “same” Power level.

Will players who have an existing arena run get an arena ticket?

They won’t, they only do it when available expansions change. Right now you can still draft exactly the same decks you did before – you just have a lower chance of seeing the powerful DH & Priest cards.
