Deck Import

Demon Handlock has been getting popular recently due to having a strong matchup against the meta. Voidcaller is one of the cards that makes this variant possible. Getting Mal'Ganis on the board early in the game is tough to deal with for most decks. Doomguard is great for getting on the board with Voidcaller or just adding damage to finish the game. Even getting an early Lord Jaraxxus and taunting it up with Sunfury Protector can provide you with a huge wall that some decks won’t be able to get through.

Demon Handlock Tech Cards

If you’re running into a lot of Patron Warrior or Midrange Hunter you can add Acidic Swamp Ooze to improve your matchup.

Why this deck is so weak now?

Because of no heal like Healbot, Mal’ Ganis being gone doesn’t help either.

I was thinking about crafting Mal’ganis and putting him in both this deck and Renolock (I have all the cards needed for both, mostly because I played regular Handlock ages ago), would that be a good move? I think that this deck is coming back to life…

Mal’ganis is a strong card. It’s in this deck, Renolock, and in Midrange Zoo. If you want to play Warlock, he’s a pretty good card to have. I’m not positive this deck is on the way back, but Handlock is a resilient deck.

Yea, forgot to mention I also have zoo so I can place him there too. Thanks for the advice, I’m probably gonna craft him.

Is this deck still good? (what are the best 5 or 10 decks right now)
and what type of warlock is the best?

It’s still good, but this particular version is probably lower on the top deck hierarchy. Renolock, Aggro Zoo, and Malylock are probably the best Warlock decks.

I definitely think that you should replace Demon Handlock with Renolock. Renolock, imo, is far superior to the original Demon Handlock.

You’re probably right, this was one of the decks on the chopping block.

Just wondering – malganis or jaraxxus more important to craft first to make this deck work? thanks

I’d say Mal’ganis for this deck. It’s so good coming off of Voidcaller. Although, I’d consider holding back on crafting this deck. It’s not as strong right now.

I know that it has weakened from the Warsong nerf, but is it still a Tier 1-2 deck? Looking to play it, as it seems really fun, but don’t want to invest in it until I know I can win games with it.

I play regular Handlock, pretty classic stuff but with the emperor to get my mana lowered. I had a demon lock before and didnt like it.

Basicaly on handlock you will need to be very atentive. Sometimes you will discard the coin to get a draw on first turn and other you will keep it to get a dake on the ground on turn 3. It really depends on the match up.

Its a deck that takes sometimes to play it right but its lots of fun.

I m playing a regular handlock on ladder, but with alex instead of jaraxx( cause i m f2p :)) ) now are those 5 demons really game changing? Is it worth working on mal ganis and jaraxx? I get rekt by aggro mostly and hunters are literally 99% loss … How do you guys do with handlock, of any kind, these days??

I returned after a year to HS. How many € would have stood this deck?

60 classic packs should give you card/dust enough to create this

I’m playing with this deck in the current meta with a few changes, like + 1 hellfire since there’s a lot of aggro paladins and i’m using Syphon soul replacing Loatheb.

    Is Jaraxxus mandatory?

No, but your win rate against control decks will likely suffer.

Any suggestion to deal with tempo mage and rush deck?By the time i taunt up,i am almost dead

Sometimes you have to make seemingly weird plays to maintain tempo against them, such as coining out a watcher and then silencing it, or playing a sunfury on an empty board. It may seem weak and it is, but sometimes it is necessary to maintain tempo. Also mulligan for voidcaller in those matchups.

I have been playing a deck like this for a few days now. I play a deck more similar to Lifecoach’s, and it is doing amazing in the current meta. This one feels like it has a worse matchup to druids and a better one to mages I feel.

I’ve been testing this deck. Some mulligans tips or a guide? Thanks in advanced.

You should always aim to get a Twilight Drake or a Mountain Giant, Life Tap turns 2 and 3 and play a big drake on turn 4 or a 4 cost giant. You could check Trump’s deck teachings on Handlock on Youtube.
