The Anyfin Can Happen OTK Paladin deck continues to evolve! Neviilz, who has pioneered the Echo Giants Mage, has turned his eye towards this deck. He cracked the top-3 with a 74% winrate going 37-13! The deck is quite a bit different from the Senfglas version, it contains Doomsayer, Solemn Vigil, and Antique Healbot which are non-existent in the other list. This deck is far more centered around the combo and controlling the board while you build towards your Anyfin Can Happen combo.

Watch him play the deck here.

Update: -1 Acidic Swamp Ooze, -1 Acolyte of Pain, +1 Humility, +1 Keeper of Uldaman

Don’t know if you’ll see this, but the Twitter link isn’t linked to the right account! Hope you’ll fix this, it’s not that important but still 🙂

At least one Sludge Belcher should be replaced with more cheaper taunt, like DeathLord or even Annoy-o-Tron. Because there are lots of early-game rush decks like FaceHunter, Aggro Shaman, Aggro Warrior and Secret Pal. This change will stop agression at first 2-3 turns and help to build defence against aggro decks. IMHO
(I have 1 copy of all this taunts in my deck, this give me some flexibility. I’m trying to get one of them in mulligan, depending on enemy deck)

    This deck requires practice

I dropped quite a number of ranks when I first tried it but I still had quite a number of possible plays to make on any given turns which made me want to keep at it.

It IS weak to midrange druid and some aggro decks (mostly shaman) but not to the point of auto-conceding,

With practice I regained my lost ranks and riding a nice win streak atm 🙂

IMHO, it fairs very well against the current meta, I hope it lasts 🙂

I was watching Kolento play a deck very similar to this on youtube a couple of days ago.
It’s a very good deck, but it requires a lot of patience. I’d recommend trying it in ‘casual’ to gain competency in it before trying to improve your rank with it (especially if you are rank 10 or better).

True story , needed 20 games on ranked to actually climb more than rank 6

I´m playing two “holy light” instead of healbots and i think it helps vs aggro. it works together with the pyromancer and its easier to hit the mana curve with it.

Guess doomsayer combos well with solemn vigil since doomsayers effect triggers at start of your turn. Just wondering what the heck to substitute for it.

    • dongerdash
      January 22, 2016 at 8:24 am

its not really replaceable but you can sub in two holy lights for the doomsayers and it will work if you play it right

ive tried it out and i have a pretty good win ratio

Hungry Crab is it worth putting in place of doomsayer to counter Murloc Knight since that card can screw up combo.?

      January 11, 2016 at 9:23 am

Murloc Knight is pretty rare, I wouldn’t worry about it.

        January 12, 2016 at 5:47 pm

Thanks. Just trying to figure out what to sub for the two doomsayers. Also wondering why the doomsayers are there. To counter Deathlord. I get why doomsayer is in freeze mage they have cards that combo well with doomsayer. But this deck? Hmm. Wondering if Annoy a tron might sub well. Provides early taunt that trades well with the one health minions of most aggro decks.

Annoy-o-tron isn’t a bad idea. I believe Doomsayer is here just to absorb damage, or clear the board. It’s basically a stall tactic to get you further into the game, so you can unleash the Anyfin Can Happen combo.

Very weak deck compared to Secrets or Midrange. The deck is weak at the first turns if you don’t draw the right cards (Pyro, Bluegill).
The opponent has the time to crush you numberous times before you pick all the pieces required to build the combo and on top of that, this deck fail to synergize a lot of times.

I thought secret paladin was the #1 rated paladin deck why isn’t it shown?

    December 23, 2015 at 5:27 pm

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is this considered a Control deck or Midrange? Also – why is it still considered OTK when a single Anyfin can do no more than 22 damage (10 (MurkEye) + 6 (BGW) + 6 (BGW) = 22). Back when it included 2xGO it was 30dmg. I love playing these murloc decks, but stopped using them on the ladder at around rank 8. I haven’t played this version on the ladder specifically.

Valid point, this deck seems less likely to OTK. I’d say it’s more of a control deck than midrange.

      December 26, 2015 at 1:44 pm

It runs 2 anyfins. the first could do 22. then they clear the board, the next one can summon 2 murk eye, up to 4 bgws, and then warleaders..easily doing more than 30 dmg.

      • Dayasydal
        December 27, 2015 at 10:24 am

        In two turns.
I’m not saying the amount of damage isn’t significant. I’m saying it’s not capable of taking someone from 30 to 0 with a clear board.

        • Joxua
          December 28, 2015 at 5:37 pm

Yes it is capable. You have to get the right cards but it’s absolutely capable.

        • Ferhart
          January 8, 2016 at 10:35 am

It can do well over 30 damage in one turn, the second anyfin can resummon a third bluegill as well as two murk eyes, add two murloc warleaders to that and you ve got 42 damage

          MRGLGLRGLGLGLGLGLGL!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The newest version from Nevillz

For those wondering what is the purpose of doomsayer, it is meant to be played on early turns, or protected by belcher, or cheat a turn by playing it on an empty board from your opponent in the late game.

It combos well with solemn vigil too.

Heh, i’m not sure of what i’m seeing, but the list is not updated yet right? ‘Cause i read “-1 Shielded Minibot, -2 Hammer of Wrath, +1 Acidic Swamp Ooze, +2 Aldor Peacekeeper” but the list doesn’t contain the ooze and still have the 2 hammers 😮

        • Aön
          December 19, 2015 at 10:09 am

Ow nvm, it’s just one ooze for one minibot right?

No, I messed that up pretty badly. It was actually +1 Ooze and +2 Sludge Belcher! Sorry about that, it should be fixed now.

Not sure why My last comment was deleted 😉
This deck is terrible. Why make a Murloc deck and only put 5 Murlocs total in it?
Didn’t win a single game. Maybe I just suck

    • Evident - Author
      December 19, 2015 at 8:53 am

Well, this deck got to top 10 legend so I don’t think it’s bad. I would consider watching Neviilz play it on stream: http://www.twitch.tv/neviilz/v/30711658

Also, it only has 5 murlocs because the point is to play them out over the course of the game and then finish your opponent with Anyfin Can Happen.

Hey evident. Have you ever thought of putting a deck difficulty tracker at the top of the page? Something like a 1-5 star difficulty rating. 1 this deck is super easy to play (secret pally) and 5 this deck is difficult and takes game deep understanding (old patron/mill rogue)? I find a bunch of comments are negative because people don’t understand the difficulty of some of these decks. Watch this deck being streamed and you can see it takes a lot of thought and predicting what comes next. Love the website!

          January 14, 2016 at 1:18 pm

Hey, I like the idea, but assigning a difficulty rating is pretty subjective. My idea of what’s easy or difficult could be totally different from someone else. I could potentially put it up for community vote, but that might be hard to implement (and be easily influenced). I’ll give it some consideration though! Glad you like the site.

it’s a COMBO deck for 22 damage playing anyfin with those five murlocs in grave.

Harisson instead of one hammer of wrath, any thought?

    • Evident - Author
      December 19, 2015 at 9:01 am

It looks like Neviilz replaces the Hammer of Wrath for Aldor Peacekeeper.

    • JimmyD
      January 13, 2016 at 1:03 pm

Harrison seems like a good idea. Draws cards which help get to combo quicker and destroys a weapon which further stalls opponent. The drawback which is similar to divine favor is it heavily relies on opponent in order to draw cards.

Is solemn vigil a good replacement for the second lay on hands? because with only one, you usually run out of time before drawing the key murlocs

    • Evident - Author
      December 17, 2015 at 9:21 am

Well, there’s already two Solemn Vigil, so you can’t really make that replacement.
