Deck Import

Senfglas has been playing this deck quite a bit and this list looks a bit more refined than the list by Thijs. I have seen some people discussing the merit of Murloc Knight, the reason it doesn’t belong in this particular deck is because it would ruin the potential OTK combo. You only really want murlocs on the board that buff other murlocs or can charge. That inevitably leads to boards like this:

otk-murlocs-board

Insanly bad deck in the current aggro meta.

tbh i think this deck does rly well vs aggro, with Chow MfB Minibot u have some rly nice boardcontroll in the early stages, also sacrifising bluegrill to keep the board in ur hand is rly good….
i only lost to some perfect drawing tempo mages so far. all over i would say easily 60-70% wins vs aggro decks…

but thats just my experience (around 40-50 games played)

Why 2 cult master? Is it not bether to run 2 sludge and 2 azure drake?

Honestly, I think the cult master works way better. Look at the charge you have in the deck or the potential to spam guys with muster. If you can get those cards out there then toss this onto the field….can fill your hand right up. And drawing your deck as fast as you can is pretty crucial to getting off the combo when you hit turn 10.

true. but you mostly get the value when up against a control deck, and we already win that matchup. and vs aggro it’s t slow. so it feels like a win more card. I guess one is worth for midrange. but two fells to mutch

When you play Anyfin does the battle cry of the health murloc (drawing a blank on his name, Coldlight?) trigger?

      December 13, 2015 at 3:59 pm

      I don’t think so.

      • Enzzo
        December 22, 2015 at 4:52 am

No, it does not. Battlecries only trigger when you play a minion, never when it is summoned another way.

I only have one lay on hands, any good replacement for the second one?

Isn’t Grimscale oracle supposed to be in this deck? if not, can someone explain why pls? I’m guessing it’s because of the 2x Anyfin but would like to be sure

So that the only murlocs that come out of Anyfin are the ones who are able to charge, or buff the damage of the ones who charge. Which, yeah, is made much more brutal the second time you cast Anyfin.

Can I replace “lay on hand” w/ “divine” favour”?

  9. Imlach

    Cult master or Divine favor?

Probably Cult Master in this deck. You aren’t dropping your hand on the board as liberally.

You really want the 2 lay hands on for this. The value in the card draw is sometimes more powerful than the heal.

Thanks a lot for this deck, 14-9 with it so far, I have only been playing 3 months so it feels good to win more than lose. Evident do you have any Mulligan suggestions?

I think it’s pretty standard mulligan for Midrange Paladin: Zombie Chow, Shielded Minibot, Muster for Battle, and Loot Hoarder.

I was thinking about a Naga seawitch to make it cost 5 so you could cast two on turn 10

Yesterday Senfglas plays in his stream with a Healbot instead of Azure Drake

Do you think solemn vigil would be a good replacement for the second lay on hands? I feel like 2 might be a bit too slow…

Thijs was running one, so it can’t be too bad!

Must be doing it wrong. Currently up to rank 5 and climbing with it in one day.

I think it is less the deck and more about being rank 22…. This deck is solid

      Antique Healbot?

    • haleyk
      December 7, 2015 at 9:54 pm

I was running solemn vigil, but it turns out that lay on hand is essential for both stalling and cycling.

I would recommend you try out solemn vigil first, and craft lay on hands if you really wants to play this deck.

    Why not Thaurissan here?

    • Shurchil
      December 7, 2015 at 8:18 am

I think it is, because most of the murloc cards are not really expensive.

Would Anyfin Can Happen be a card you would want to keep in your mulligan?

  23. Angiboy8
    December 6, 2015 at 5:10 pm

So can Anyfin Can Happen summon multiples? Let’s say if one Old Murk-eye dies, when Anyfin is played is there a chance for multiple Old Murk-eyes to be summoned?

    • Evident - Author
      December 6, 2015 at 7:58 pm

No, just one. It summoned two here because he had previously played Anyfin Can Happen.

        December 6, 2015 at 11:00 pm

That is good information, I was wondering the same!

    • hero
      December 8, 2015 at 2:17 pm

it also summons your oppoenet’s dead murlocs as well.

    • TheTruth
      December 14, 2015 at 5:12 pm

Yes. If they died twice. Lets say you play Old Murk-eyes and it dies. Then you cast Anyfin to put him into play. Lets say you then attack and kill him for a second time. Your second Anyfin casting will put two in to play. So when they die a second time to the first Anyfin cast, it counts as new dead Murlocs and triggers them all again. I just did this about 3 times in a row.
