Deck Import

Will Paladin win the Reno Jackson lottery? I would hope not, because there’s already a lot of good Paladin decks out there, but that doesn’t rule them out. Muster for Battle is the card that is doubled in this deck, and it’s hard to argue with the power level of that card. This style of deck even makes room for less popular cards like Gadgetzan Jouster, Mind Control Tech, and Kel'Thuzad.

Update 2: -1 Gadgetzan Jouster, -1 Blessing of Kings, +1 Keeper of Uldaman, +1 Lay on Hands

Just a minor update, adding in the new Paladin card and some more late game healing and card draw.

Update: -1 Muster for Battle, -1 Quartermaster, +1 Blessing of Kings, +1 Cairne Bloodhoof

Muster for Battle is no longer a 2x card in this version, and Quartermaster has also been cut. Blessing of Kings is a card that is on the fringe of making it into Midrange Paladin deck lists, and Cairne Bloodhoof is making a rare appearance as Lifecoach improves the deck.

Hi guys , I wanna answer to that question as many people as you can . After unlock the second part of league of explorers i appreciate the power of Brann Bronzebeard. For him , i made some replaces in that deck i replace Cairne,Piloted Sky Golem and Sylvana and i put Bronzebeard , Drakonid Crusher and Nefarian . Can you think those subs are bad or improve the deck .Thanks in advance !

Cairne/Piloted are the main sticky damage, drak and nef are too late/situational/subpar without the combo.

Cairne – 8-10 stats no combo
      Piloted – ~ 10-8 stats no combo

They will do more work much more often. Even if there were two bronzebeards I don’t think it’d be worth it for the cards you picked. Also you’ll want cards on a lower mana curve so you can get guaranteed combo, don’t count on Bronze surviving more than a turn, even behind taunt he has a lot of agro.

Why replace sylvana anyway, if you pull off the combo you can get 2 mind control yeah?

I find that playing this deck is a little rough sometimes, the high costs of alot of cards kinda get in the way. I found that piloted golem wasn’t really giving me much and have had better luck with both Harrison Jones or Sunwalker in its place

      Equality
      Make minon 3-3 guy
      Mind control tech

      sylvanas mind control
      owl for twilight

You just have to recognize and play the matchup

Which deck is better in the current meta.

    Normal Midrange Paladin
    or
Reno Jackson Paladin (so this one)

The deck does work pretty well, if you can handle the swings – and i mean this twofold. Firstly the swings in the actual game, This really is one of the best “comeback” decks around. And secondly the swings in performance. You’ll dominate one game, then be taken apart in the next – more so than any other current meta deck in my opinion however i feel overall the deck is strong, even against aggro.

Currently using it at rank 6 successfully.

The good thing about Reno Jackson’s decks is that you can play a lot more different cards, I always have this problem when I build my deck by myself : I’d want all the different cards because they’re all kinda awesome/fun in their own way, so Reno is doing a great job about diversifying your possibilities in a single deck 🙂

Find myself getting destroyed by agro decks, in ten games i havent seen Reno once !

If you are mulliganing correctly you should have enough tools to win games without Reno, reno should just be a saftey net against agros last throws.

Great fun, I have been playing a version of this with a lower curve, secrets package (2 of’s only on Avenge and Noble Sacrifice), and a copy of both Youthful and Ancient Brewmaster.

Fully healed against a midrange Hunter three times last night, at 4,8 and I think 12 health 🙂 Haha!
Also find the brewmasters to come in handy for a second Healbot, and even picked up a silenced Kel’Thuzad to replay against Priest. Most fun I have ever had playing the game, but games are loooooong

Replacements for Cairne and Piloted Sky Golem?

Sunwalker for one, and maybe a Boulderfist Ogre or Guardian of Kings… You are replacing really sticky minions, which is tough to replace at that mana cost.

I replaced blessing of kinds with 1 more cons. I think that will work better because cons is rly op =)

This is the one deck for me, which is definitely making Reno’s positive side outvalue the downsides!

i think Challenger was omitted because you want to have 1 of – of the best cards you can put in there.

    Secrets dilute your deck.

I still am not sure I agree with trying to do a 1-of-each-card deck to get the use out of Reno Jackson. I feel like his card would work best in control decks where it is a game-winning condition. So ideally, i would want this when I have less than 10 cards in the deck left and a much higher chance of having 1 of each card left.

The problem would be keeping track of the cards you have played. There will be games when the last two cards are the same and Reno Jackson is useless. The card, imo, was made to make the game slower. The real value of the card is like a turn six heal when you are down to like 10 vs a face hunter, and he doesnt have any cards in hand.

This deck is hilarious fun, Just went 7-3 with it in 1st ten games. Best one was against an aggro warrior, I was on 13 with a weapon equipped, popped his 12 attack frothing and played Reno. He conceded. I was pmsl

I’ve been playing a secrets build with reno that’s been doing really well.

    (2x copies)
    Avenge
    Comp spirit
    Nob sacrifice
    Redemption
    Myst challenger
    (1x copy)
    Repentance
    Arg Squire
    Zom chow
    Equality
    Holy light (seal of champs)
    Shield bot
    Coghammer
    Muster
    Aldor PK
    Truesilver
    Blessing kings
    Consecrate
    Hammer wrath
    Shredder
    Quartermaster
    Belcher
    Justicar trueheart
    Reno
    Boom
    Tirion

Mulligan aggressively for low cost Minions, and play as you would a normal secrets build.

With one challenger, you can activate reno. This is by no means going to be useful once the rest of the wings are open. But for now, I’m about 80%+ with it.

      December 13, 2015 at 1:53 pm

Why reno in an agressive deck? If you are wasting mana on reno you probably are probably already burned out and just losing slower or not being agressive enough.

you have to correct the ” 2x” of muster for battle 😀

    • Evident - Author
      November 14, 2015 at 7:59 am

Reno will still work as long as you draw one of the Muster for Battle. You would most likely be trying mulligan for that card.

How about mysterious challenger and 1 of each secret!!! :O

I didn’t even think about that… that is a sick addition. And one hell of a surprise!

    • iAlejandro
      November 13, 2015 at 1:41 pm

Actually you can run 2 of each secret so the challenger works better, when you play it, you will play 1 of each secret so there will be only 1 of each in your deck

      • Drarre
        November 14, 2015 at 5:12 am

If you do that might as well put 2 mysterious challengers in the deck.

      • sander2211
        November 14, 2015 at 5:37 am

eeehm no… then reno jackson doesn’t work anymore

        • Drarre
          November 15, 2015 at 1:43 am

Reno works as long as you have 1 of each card at most in the remainder of your deck so as long as you have played a Mysterious Challenger it’ll still work.
