Scholomance Academy Dual Class Cards - Class Pairs And What Can We Expect From Them

Nice article! I can’t see how a rogue/ mage could work because they don’t fit in mana cost. It would be predictable for one class unless they print 2-3 which is not likely I think… Though it would make perfect sense if they print 1-2 secret synergy cards. Also I expect to see at least one dragon in the paladin/ priest dual. It fits great in both classes. Let’s see what the devs think about these!

Druid and Mage Spell-only Theorycrafts - Putting the "Spell" in "Spellcaster"

I really like the druid list. I remember a similar build was really strong in early uldum. I wonder though since no card really punishes you for having a few minions, wouldn’t it be worthy to include vargoth? It has insane synergy with almost every card and if it sticks at any point it’s a game over. Also it curves nicely into force of nature or glowfly swarm. The only real downside is that it may be hit by fungal fortune but that doesn’t seem really likely…

Guardian Augmerchant

Of course you won’t give divine shield to an opponent unless they print something like blood knight… Though the fact that it can kill an enemy minion with one health is a big upside! Of course it will be MUCH tbetter than elven because of the ability to give divine shield and one more attack. Though to be precise it’s not strictly better than elven because it can’t ping an enemy minion that has more than one health and cannot hit enemy face… But these downsides are negligible, this card is broken and cant be compared with elven

Priest Class Rework - New/Buffed/Changed Basic & Classic Cards

This seems like a buff to zephrys too!!! holy nova shadow madness and shadow word death were already solid picks from zephrys and now they come 1 mana cheeper. Also holy smite becomes a solid option at 1 mana, given that zephrys quite often gave you ligthning bolt at 1 mana to remove a 3 health minion, and this comes with no overload

Warglaives of Azzinoth

i would compare it to fool’s bane. With the upside that it can hit heroes once per turn! Seems really promising

Metamorphosis

i totally agree. Even if this card will pe proved good, it wont worth to combo it with vargoth just for one more use. Unless you run it in a deck that vargoth can do a bunch of other things too

Command the Illidari

another downside is that you need space for those tokens. But generally i agree that this is a good and synergistic card

2020 Announcements Live Recap - Standard Year, Hall of Fame, New Cards, Ashes of Outland, Demon Hunter and More!

What you are saying about dust makes NO SENSE. The value you are getting from a disenchanted card is MUCH LESS than a new card of the same rarity that you don’t have! Imagine you open a duplicate legendary. it’s just 400 dust. Now imagine that you open a new legendary that you don’t have. Then you have the OPTION either to disenchant it if its unplayable(or if you dont want to play it ever) OR to keep it use it in your decks and save yourself 1600 dust you would need to craft it!! So duplicate protection is great news for everyone especially for f2p players!!!
About your question how you will gain dust, there are two answers:
First and most important is that you will NEED MUCH LESS DUST, because if you are getting no duplicates there are many more chances to GET THE CARDS YOU NEED!!!
Secondly you can still get duplicates (dust) if you get all the cards of a rarity from an expansion. And if you need the dust you can also disenchant trash cards or want ever play.
Though, this might be also a trap because if start disenchenting and crafting whatever, you may end up with no dust and lots of unplayable cards! So we need to be very careful about crafting and disenchanting cards. Thankfully, this site provides us with quides for both!!! 🙂

Galakrond's Awakening Meta Decks (Week 3) - Best Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Deck Lists For All Classes

Sure it fits quest hunter perfectly, which was already in a good shape! And it also boosts all other quests! But I don’t know if its enough to make them viable. I predict quest shaman might come back and maybe some quest rogues would appear again

Galakrond's Awakening Meta Decks (Week 3) - Best Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Deck Lists For All Classes

Of course not quest priest! At least not in resurect version. Maybe this will help quest priest go for a midrange approach, but i can’t see why. Also i think it doesn’t fit in quest druid because it doesn’t fit in its curve: This card is an amazing tempo tool for quest decks so this is especially good when played on curve. But at turn 4 druid wants to finish the quest and after it wants to play powerful choose one cards to get value from its quest. And this card doesn’t feel that good. Maybe when going first at turn 5 it curves nicely but i don’t believe quest druid would cut an other card for this.

Power and Win Rate of the Decks - Analyzing the Official "Tier List" From Iksar

Great article and amazing analysis! If we had the same stats for legend-only or rank 2- legend i thin that would prove much of your sayings. Another thing that I would like to mention is that when comparing blizzard’s stats with third parties stats is that players who track their decks are ,on average, better players running better lists. That means that blizzard’s stats may be “polluted” by some f2p players or players that don’t use updated lists of o deck. That would be more obvious if they gave us stats from all ranks, but even in rank 5 i think that there are many f2p players and that may change significantly the win rates and play rates of many archetypes.

Loatheb 2.0…. its really cool that doesn’t say minions so this hit also hero cards delaying them for a turn

Sky Gen'ral Kragg

Should work but i think it would be very inconsistent. I don’t think this card would be viable with sidequests. This is a very good card when active on curve, but it’s useless if you haven’t drawn you sidequest. I don’t think its effect worths that much to compensate for the time it would sit dead in your hand before you draw your sidequest

What was wrong with Galakrond Shaman? Quick Analysis of The Upcoming Nerfs

Though i can’t understand why they don’t want to nerf the mechanic instead of nerfing, otherwise, balanced cards. It s not healthy for the game. The nerf seems good right now, but what if in later expansions they want to print more evolve and/or token synergies? Then the problem may be even bigger. And why this mechanic should restrain them from printing other nice cards

What was wrong with Galakrond Shaman? Quick Analysis of The Upcoming Nerfs

But was it deserved it? The card would be good but not broken if it couldn’t evolve to 8-drops… A discounted card should keep its cost for evolve effects. That would have solved many problems and some nerfs could have been avoided. I mean there is no reason to run this card now (without mutate) comparing it to sea giant. But as it was before it could easily be used in board flooding decks only for its body + rush. And it wouldn’t be broken if it couldn’t evolve into 8-drops

16.0.5 Balance Update - Nerfs to Corrupt Elementalist, Sludge Slurper, Faceless Corruptor, Mogu Fleshshaper + Battlegrounds Changes - December 19

I was talking about the non quest version of oasis. 5 mana two 3/3 with rush (and more flexibility as you can choose a 5/5 with rush) would be still way better than two 2/4 with rush and a token to sacrifice . Even at 3/4 it would be significantly worse because of the requirement to have a token to sacrifice. Yes oasis is a class card and faceless neutral but still oasis probably wouldn’t see play without the quest.

16.0.5 Balance Update - Nerfs to Corrupt Elementalist, Sludge Slurper, Faceless Corruptor, Mogu Fleshshaper + Battlegrounds Changes - December 19

Faceless at 2/4 would be rediculous, compare it with oasis surger with only one option AND requiring a token to transform for even less damage. Even as 3/4 would be just ok. Now it is still good but significantly worse than before. Nerfing attack to rush minions is more significant than it seems. Imagine restless mummy as a 2/2… It would be a disaster. Though i think it would be better if they nerfed it at 4/3

Full Dust Refunds For SN1P-SN4P, Glinda Crowskin and Sound the Bells Available Until Tomorrow (December 19)

There was a meme otk deck that run zephrys to find sorceters apprentice and later in the game when a minion stack they played sorcerers apprentice + faceless + infinite sound the bells to go face! If i remember well in order to get apprentice from zefrys you needed to play him on an empty board with two mana left and not very low on health! I don’t think anyone managed a good climb with it but it was real…

Descent of Dragons Balance Changes - Shaman Nerfs Coming Next Week!

The problem is not this card as it was not conjurers calling. The problem is the mechanic. Kripp’s solution to the problem would have fixed both giant+conjuring and mogu + evolve. If you cheat a minion for lower cost it should keep its discounted cost for effects like evolve or conjuring calling. Still mogul would be good again in token based decks but it wouldn’t be that broken
