Hearthstone Wild Meta Decks Tier List - Scholomance Academy Update

Odd Rogue with double Beneath the Grounds if you want to go to the extreme. Reno Mage is also a good option.

Cheaty is really strong with Flesh Giant. Can also make for nice defile set-ups or Spellstone procs on yourself.

Wild Mecha'Thun Warlock

You play it post Hemet, which leaves you with a deck of 1-ofs.
Also tends to be playable with around ~10 cards or so left in deck even without Hemet, which is typically around turns 7-8

Hearthstone Wild Meta Decks Tier List - Scholomance Academy Update

I think that might be a touch high, but the deck certainly feels quite competitive. I’ve personally played it a lot this season and done pretty well.

This snapshot hasn’t been given a full update since May (but I’ve tried to keep things roughly updated when i had the time), so some of the rankings are a bit inaccurate/outdated.

Hearthstone Wild Meta Decks Tier List - Scholomance Academy Update

It isn’t the most played deck at the bottleneck to legend, it isn’t definitively the most played deck at high legend, and it doesn’t beat every other high tier deck at all. Quest Mage is a good deck obviously, but it also has very clear, very obvious weaknesses. It’s honestly a little silly to suggest Quest Mage is infallible while slinging accusations that others are, er, “lying”.

Kazakus – there seems to be a bug where Kazakus isn’t showing up after submission. Should be fixed soon

Hearthstone Wild Meta Decks Tier List - Scholomance Academy Update

Hey there DIYSurgeon – this tier list certainly looks a little different than some other tier lists, especially when it comes to some specific decks such as Quest Mage and Jade Druid. However, when making the tier list I think it’s always important to give the most honest opinion I can, even if it goes against some consensus thinking – which I’m sure is something you can agree with.

Regarding Quest Mage, the deck description goes into a bit of depth about its placement. I would also question whether it really is the most popular or dominant deck at high level right now. In my last 100 games I have only played against six Quest Mage players. I think its impact on the meta is sizeable, but the deck is far from infallible.

The article is based on all possible resources (personal experience as a high legend player, discussion with other players, observations from other sources, and all publicly available data).

You don’t have to play it until you already have the combo pieces.

As in which one is better? I think they’re performing quite similarly right now, both seem strong and competitive.

Descent of Dragons: Early Impressions of Wild Format Meta

Yeah I’ve seen this approach pop up a bit more over the last few days. I think it definitely has merit, should improve aggressive matchups by a fair bit. Will have to keep an eye out!

Hearthstone Class Card Crafting Guide (Wild) - Saviors of Uldum Post-Nerf Meta

Glinda was a difficult one for me to wrestle with when writing the piece. One the one hand, yes Blizzard could absolutely invalidate Glinda by nerfing SN1P-SN4P. On the other, Glinda is a massive reason for the deck’s success, and to many people it is clearly the best deck in the meta. Blizzard also tends to make relatively few Wild-exclusive balance changes.

The short description suggests “players should be slightly cautious” despite Glinda ultimately making the cut for me, and I completely understand your perspective.

Also thank you for the heads up on formatting! Should be fixed now.

Hearthstone Class Card Crafting Guide (Wild) - Saviors of Uldum Post-Nerf Meta

This article is only covering the class cards. A neutral-section follow-up will be up very soon, and you’re right that Genn and Baku will both absolutely be mentioned!
