The idea of Taunt Druid is relatively old, and dates back to the release of Hadronox in the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion. This initial iteration of the deck did not fair well, so it was tabled and essentially looked at as a failure.

That was until the release of the Kobolds and Catacombs which really got it off the ground. The deck still uses a lot of cards from this set, things like Branching Paths, Ironwood Golem, Oaken Summons, Carnivorous Cube, Dragonhatcher, and Sleepy Dragon all make the list.

The deck had its ups-and-downs from there, it added Witching Hour from The Witchwood expansion which helps duplicate your Hadronox allowing for more and more taunts to be resummoned. The Boomsday Project didn’t help the list very much, but it remains a worthwhile deck to bring to the ladder.
