Dot Esports was sent what appears to be a teaser to either the next expansion or maybe Tournament Mode? We are definitely due for an expansion announcement, but Tournament Mode was also supposed to enter beta in the middle of the year last we heard. The teaser gives very little information other than what appears to be an Orc/Goblin holding onto a peach(?) that has the Hearthstone logo on it.
Update: Turns out this wasn’t a teaser for an expansion, but a vague announcement for a local community event…
Based on the teaser released when Year of the Raven was announced, we speculated that it was most likely going to have something to do with the Etherals in World of Warcraft.
It remains to be seen what this is going to be, but there’s not a ton to go off of based on this teaser. Let us know what you think about it in the comments!
I know I’m thinking a little far ahead, but for Expansion 3 I’m thinking something water related so maybe something to do with Azshara?
Never played WoW beyond lv 20 but I’ve read some lore and story about Warcraft. I got a vague feeling the second expansion could have some links with the dragonflights, Malygos or Nozdormu especially.
Latest event was about The Bronze Dragonflight (Chromie) and June card back is about The Blue Dragonflight (Malygos). Looking at the teaser, it has a similar color palette with Heroic Karazhan card back (Netherspite, which is a dragon).
The “apple” could represent The Blue Dragonflight’s prowess to conjure things (conjuring an apple) or The Bronze Dragonflight’s control over time (rewinding a half-eaten apple).
Anyway it is just my thoughts. Not trying to start a banter here. Peace.

Netherstorm is actually my first guess, between ethereals, goblins, and a fruit that I could see growing in an Eco-Dome.

What are we supposed to write about a green hand with a peach? Nice nail varnish? Hearthstone players are usually a lot more civil than the people commenting on the ice hockey blogs I usually read and when they’re not I usually suspect them to be teenies.
