Greatest Moments in Hearthstone eSports History

Community Manager Whirthun asked his followers about the best moments in Hearthstone eSports. This lead to Savjz and Frodan doing a bit of reminiscing about great moments from the past. Savjz suggested that would make a good Reddit post, so I figured I’d take it upon myself to make it happen! Here are some of the best moments from Hearthstone’s short eSports career! If I missed any, please comment below and I’ll add them to the list.

Artosis vs. Kripp

The finals of Blizzard’s first official Hearthstone event came down to Artosis and Kripp battling it out with Paladin in the first game. Kripp was down and finally able to clear the board, but Artosis had other plans.

This did also lead to one of the greatest videos ever made (turn your volume down!):

Artosis Executes Intelligent Play

ESGN was filled with great moments, but nothing stuck around with us longer then Artosis forgetting to read the fine print on Execute.

ESGN Fight Night: Savjz vs. Realz

Realz was a very good Hearthstone player before he retired from competition and took a job at Blizzard. He did, however, like to do a bit of BM to his opponents, and in this case it backfired.

Forsen Miracles to Victory

BabyRage NEVER LUCKY BabyRage

Reynad Kill Command

One of the early DreamHacks featured Reynad in a tight spot, but he was able to engineer a way to victory by killing his own Savannah Highmane.

Forsen vs. Rdu Ice Block

Forsen takes out his own Bloodmage Thalnos, draws Mad Scientist, uses Frostbolt on it, and the rest is history.

More after the jump!

Neirea Backstabs his Own Leeroy

Not only does Neirea pop the Ice Block, he prevents Hyped from being able to trigger his Mad Scientist into a second!

Trump’s Hungry Crab Tech

Remember when Murlocs was a viable deck? Trump does, especially because he tech’d in Hungry Crab vs. Artosis and got full value for it!

Lifecoach’s Mortal Enemy

Lifecoach didn’t get the nickname “Ropecoach” for no reason! He is famous for exhausting the full amount of time allotted to plot out every move. Sneed’s Old Shredder finally found a way to counter him.

Kitkatz Destroys Thijs’s Hopes and Dreams

Probably one of the most brutal on the list: Kitkatz’s Sneed’s Old Shredder literally won him a game versus the always consistent Thijs.

Damn, what’s the chance of getting 2 KT’s from Sneeds in a row 🙂
