Mulligans

General Mulligans

In the aggro mid-range match-up, such as against rogue or hunter, you want to mulligan away the quest, as it is too slow. Because the quest is fulfilled by only Deathwing, it is not really a problem if it has to be mulliganed away. Cards you want in this matchup are the board clears and heals, i.e Cult Apothecary and Abyssal Enforcer. If you have one or two of the cant-attack and taunt-giver cards, it is often worth keeping in hopes of drawing more.

In the control matchup, value is the name of the game. Look for your Kabal's, they can often give very high value cards and also provide a small body to fight for early tempo with. Siphon soul is often very good as well. The same is true of the cant-attack and taunt giver cards here, the massive early game taunts are just invaluable for this deck. Twilight Drake is often very powerful as well. Mulligan away the quest if you want to, haven't tested this enough to determine whether it is beneficial or not.

A prototype warlock discolock variant that uses the synergy between Deathwing and Lakkari Sacrifice to complete the class quest with a single card. Uses value generating minions alongside the heavy use of taunts and heals to try and stall and out value the opponent. Very fun to play however my current list feels imperfect, and the deck, whilst certainly decent, is not one i would recommend for climbing ladder. Malchezaar’s imp is used to offset the hand loss of deathwing when possible.

Deck feels like it could use additional heals, and Prince Malchezaar was used in earlier iterations as the deck often runs into fatigue when the deathwing + imp + quest combo is pulled off. Kabal Chemist may be too unreliable to include in a finalised list, however its healing potion is often game winning when obtained. Felfire is excellent against the current popular quest rogue, and may be worth running an extra copy of.

I am eager to hear any comments and suggestions, as this deck in its current form is far from perfected.

I really like the idea of this deck. I think twisting nether is too slow and wouls put in the second felfire (or possibly a hellfire). Maybe consider earthernrings (for the heal) and possibly mountain giants.
