Mulligans

The Watery Jade Deck)

I present to you a never ending terror… of aggro? We have Pirates, Jades, and a Finja packaged quest. Spirit Echo is designed to be played with our post Finja, the Flying Star attack, also works with a well developed turn 3 board. In wild we get a more powerful murloc package than we can in standard from our good ol’ Murloc god, Old Murk-Eye. This guy is nuts with Finja if getting pulled by Finja with a Murloc Warleader he comes down as an 6/5 with charge… That alone can spell ‘Well Played’. In case you don’t have have any combos and just need a solid drop to refresh our murloc attacks, we have a trusty Neptulon in our back pocket. Our Turn 7 if all is going well should be able to serve as our final play before lethal. A quick Everyfin is Awesome if you got a kill with Finja on Turn 6 acts like a 4 mana Savage Roar with a health bonus attached. Alternately if you have a Call in the Finishers dropping that with Everyfin on Turn 7, is also very good as you get 4 3/3 minions. Got a good Jade run so far? Play Jade Chieftain to stick up a taunt and a 5/5 while you get to smack them in the face some more. If you wonder why we aren’t running a Flamewreathed Faceless, it’s because of the curve-out style of the deck turn 4 would become clear anything with Jade Lightning or taunts with Hex/Devolve. So we can drop ideally a Finja, the Flying Star or Bloodlust without being affected by overload. There is no substitution for Finja, he is too vital to the deck for you to play without him.

Note: Always keep Bluegill Warrior in starting hand… This is because getting that possible 6/5 off of Finja is just to good and you want those odds. Ideally you get a Bluegill and a MW at start to ensure that possibility. Of course if blue gill dies before you can play Murloc Warleader on turn 3 save it for Finishers or the Finja attack turn. (#9/6MurkEye)

I am actually very excited to go more in depth with this deck as it just seems so powerful.

Card decisions

The following section goes to explain how I decided to pick the more important cards of the deck. Order goes from lowest cost to highest cost. Sometimes I might group cards like I did for the “pirate package” under just one tag.

Pirate Package

Unlike our lucky warrior friend who can play a N'Zoth's First Mate into a Southsea Deckhand with a more consistent chance of having the weapon out at the same time as the Deckhand comes out and getting the charge active, Shaman doesn’t. So against all of those quest rogues you might find you can snipe their weapon easier, live longer against Priest’s Northshire Cleric, Mage and Druid’s hero powers, and Paladin’s Muster for Battle. It just so happens to seem, that those classes are the most played classes in wild from ranks 15-7. All of that lead to us using 2xBloodsail Corsair instead of 2xDeckhand.
The science behind Patches the Pirate is an interesting one. People love him because he can thin your deck size by one card out the gate. Which is great for decks that want certain cards out onto the field. Another reason is how you get his 1/1 charge body for free, meaning as early as turn one you have already stepped up the tempo for the rest of the game. An important idea to keep in mind though is if even though you might have a Corsair and a Deckhand and are playing against a: Shaman, Paladin, Warrior, or Rogue. Play the Deckhand first in case they drop that turn 2 or 3 weapon you can get rid of it on the spot as most of those only have 2 durability, and you already have something on the board so they’ll probably go ahead and kill it. Keep in mind always discard patches if he ends up in your hand before you mulligan.
As it went in my Patches’ Dragon Heart deck don’t play your quest turn one if you have a one drop. Play it as soon as your spare mana lets you or if you are ready to drop Finja the turn afterward.

Thank you! Personally I feel “Anyfin Paly” is a very different deck than this one. This one pushes out a lot of early game aggro that “Anyfin Paly” plays control during the same time. I might make an anyfin Paladin deck though.
