I’m thinkering with removing the ferrymen since they need to combo. The brewmasters are cool because you can bounce a lot of useful things – vilespine, replenish hp of taunts, and of course oracles.
Playing more oracles makes the game go faster in that you reach fatigue sooner. I play “extra” early oracles if I need cards (looking for cards/plays), if I can can mill cards for my opponent (even if just one on their turn draw, but this is more situational). This can really easily screw up priests and quest Mages.

Rule of thumb is to never leave an oracle on the board, ie bring it back to your hand. And always keep a shadow step for this. You want to keep a 1mana oracle for your final kill turn. Shadowcaster is good for creating a 1 mana oracle, and with valeera (I only run 1 shadow caster) you can fill your board with shadow casters by always playing it on itself (once it’s been duplicated with Dk power. (Savjz calls it shadow bacon). This deck is all about stalling through the game, and filling a board with 1/1 shadowcaster scares a lot of my opponents.

Look on YouTube for mill decks being played. Day9 has a recent-ish stream playing it with good piloting tips and tricks.

Are there any good guides for this kind of deck anywhere? I’ve been playing it for the last couple of days. Switched out the ferrymen for shadowcasters. I just have some issues with the timing of things and would love to see a guide somewhere.

In my opinion, you should never swap ferryman for shadowcasters cause it may stuck in your hand, due to its big mana cost and opponent usually clear potential target for shadowcasters > so you may play them as turn 8 etc if you dont want them play as vanila four/four. Super slow. Dead card in aggro matchups.

I would give you a hint, learn mulligan – aggro, control, in some matchups wait with vallera and her shadow ability, it will save your ass (burn etc), always save at least one shadowstep, for oracle wincon with shadowstep + shadowblade (You will have only ten mana crystal combo)

Patience is a key and undestanding, when you need to dumb your hand things like evis, backstabs in mid to late game versus control, so you dont overdraw your important card like preparation, valeera, oracle.

In aggro matchups you need sometimes contest a board, and try delay as much as you can (vanish, clear, taunts, doom) and try to not waste vanish on a weak board (depends on a matchup). And create good trades for evis and Vilespines back to back with bouncing.

    This deck looks fun!

Any good replacements for prince valanar, preparation and doomsayer?

Is there any good replacement for Skulking Geist?

Don’t think so… This card destroys enemy’s cards, so he run out of cards before u . And also against jade druid decks.

I swapped out the 2 tar creepers for 2x StoneHill defenders. The biggest weakness of this deck is lack of non-sticky minions and losing hp before Mill. This patches that problem pretty well.

Pretty good idea mate having 5 taunts instead of 3 will help a lot

I dont think so, this dekc isnt about creating value throug cards, you aint the tempo deck. Idea seems good, but one atack minion is usually only small delay what kills nothing but one/ ones. And discover is usually pretty bad cards so its onyl viable when you have empty hand (what is basicaly at the start only)

Maybe one is vaible to help vs aggro matchups, but i wouldn play it as a replacemen for tar creepers, no way, this card is nuts, usually trades two small minions into it. Or burn spell which would go to your face. Its better to have erthen farseer bouncing if you have trouble staying and your hand is often fill out with bouncers.

Main point, im usually prety always close to overdraw and I dont want to mill important cards from your deck.

Is the DK really required here? I get why the prince is here, but the DK seems useless. Or I am missing something obvious?

Yep, DK can help u to win the game against Warlock and other control decks . DK can hide u , so it alike mage secret. You should play it in the end , when your enemy have no cards left. IMHO

I played this deck nonstop the last week and i think it is already well defined and good enought to go legend. As good as the one copy of prince valanar may be it didnt really save me from aggro decks. If one wants to tech against that i had most success with the saronite chain gang. With deathknight and all the bouncers you can make a seemingly infinity wave of taunts against aggro.

I have been using this deck for the past few days, and I really do enjoy using it. I have been stuck at rank 14 for a bit and I’m not sure if this deck is going to take me the rest of the way. Does anyone have any ideas on which cards I should replace if that’s even the issue?

the brew masters feel very weak. I am have not found the extra mill to be needed.
I would replace it with a extra weapon and a drake for the AOE. the drake will also be pulled by the curator

I recommend shadow caster instead of brew masters to have extra oracles with 1 mana even tho this is my exact deck

How do I not mill myself with this? Me and my opponent go to fatigue at the same time, but he has more life (and better board) than I do.

You mill him with a shadowblade drawn before milling.
