Edit: (lots of edits)

-2 Bluegill Warrior

-2 Grimestreet Outfitter

-1 Grimestreet Enforcer

-1 Spellbreaker

-1 Sergeant Sally

+2 Call to Arms

+2 Loot Hoarder

+1 Bloodmage Thalnos

+2 Wild Pyromancer

These changes made this deck MUCH more reliable against agro and generally more consistent all around.  losing Grimestreet Outfitter was a blow to the spirit of the deck, but it enabled value from Call to Arms that turned this deck from fun to viable.  Losing Sergeant Sally means I get a lot less “Wow” emotes when I drop a 5/5 version of her… but she was just too easy to play around to service as a proper board clear.  Giant Wild Pyromancer‘s do a much better job.

The deck draw might be on the high side now.  I’m considering swapping Bloodmage Thalnos  for another Spellbreaker.  Or for a Rummaging Kobold to recover if my opponent has a Val’anyr counter.

The Deck

The key combo of this deck is Val'anyrDoppelgangster or  Val'anyr + Saronite Chain Gang.

When Val'anyr dies and lands on one of these, you get to play a mega-buffed minion who multiplies.  As these beefy minions die, they spread multiple Val'anyr‘s to more minions in your hand, until you are regularly playing 10+ attack minions for less than 4 mana.

Early Game

Always keep Val'anyr in your mulligan.  Beyond that, look for Righteous Protector and Drygulch Jailor.

Drygulch Jailor provides an excellent hand filler to inherent buffs from your Grimestreet Enforcer and Smuggler's Run, plus it just allows you to keep the board filled and curve out your early game well

Your Call to Arms will net you some draw with Loot Hoarder  and Bloodmage Thalnos, as well as keep minions on the board till you can get to your combo

Mid Game

Saving at least one Chillblade Champion as a finisher is usually a good idea.  But your other is great mid-game for some removal/heal.

If my opponent doesn’t have a high-value target for Spellbreaker, I’ll try to save it to clear buffs for a  Chillblade Champion finish.

Coldlight Oracle  and Divine Favor  provide even more draw for your deck.  Divine Favor starts losing play-ability late game when you’re holding combo pieces, so don’t be afraid to use this early for just 2-3 cards.

End Game

This is where this deck gets stupid.  And Fun.  And stupid fun.

Once you got Val'anyr up, try to clear your hands of all minions but DoppelgangsterSaronite Chain Gang, or Chillblade Champion.  Other minions who inherent your lone Val'anyr are vulnerable to silence.  Once you get your first buffed Doppelgangster or Saronite Chain Gang on the board, you’re able to be less picky about who inherits the deathrattle.

Your big combo counters are:  Mass DispelPsychic Scream, Vanish and Devolve.

Luckily, Shaman isn’t big atm and priest doesn’t run mass dispel too often.

Psychic Scream and Vanish are a real combo crusher.  Fortunately, you can suck these out by appearing to overflood your board.  As long as you already have Val’anyr in hand, you aren’t hurt much by milling, so flood, suck out the vanishes, then go combo.

If you find yourself facing a lot of rogue or priest, swap out  or a Bloodmage Thalnos for a Rummaging Kobold.  This will help you restart when your combo breaks.

Drygulch Jailor is a nice addition since you want to use Smuggler’s Run, but I have to question some of your card choices. Coldlight Oracle is one, that card is honestly really bad. Unless you are playing a mill deck, sinking 3 mana to give your opponent 2 cards usually makes you worse off. Acolyte of Pain seems like a much more feasible draw option.

Other options to consider are the 2nd Spellbreaker and Spiritsinger Umbra, since Umbra combos with your Val’anyr minions extremely well. Might want to replace the Grimestreet Enforcer with one of these.

But yeah, the main thing holding this deck back is drawing Val’anyr, just like drawing Aluneth in burn mage. This deck would probably be tier 1 if Pally had Cavern Shinyfinder.

Deck seems a bit slow above Rank 5 at least. Currently 0-6 with it. Only swapped out Thalnos for another Spellbreaker. You’re on the clock for pretty much any other aggro deck, and getting Val’anyr onto Dopple, or saronite is complete luck in setting it up a lot of the time as you’re being pressured down <10 before you get the the chance.

Amazing deck! Missing thalnos so I threw in a Acolyte of Pain since it looks like this deck wants to draw a lot
