Mulligans

General Mulligans

Fire Fly and Argent Squire are always nice to drop turn 1, and Southsea Deckhand if that can't happen. Most of the time you'll hero power on turn 2. Look for Lone Champion, Marsh Drake, or Hench-Clan Thug on turn 3. Lone Champion is nice if you didn't have a turn 1 play or it just simply died. Try not to mulligan Lone Champion and Argent Squire together as Argent Squire is likely to stick until turn 3. Hench-Clan Thug is good pressure since it usually can come out as a 4/4 and threaten to grow every turn. Finally, Marsh Drake is also nice to have as a turn 3 play assuming you daggered up on turn 2.

Deck will guarantee a turn 2 2 mana 2/2 dagger with some pretty nice follow ups like Lone Champion or Hench-Clan Thug . The deck is built to quickly gain control of the board and provide a high amount of damage to burn your opponent.

Why These Cards?

Lone Champion – Since you might not always have a turn 1 play, and your turn 2 should be daggering up, then Lone Champion can consistently gain its effect.

Argent Squire – Sticky minion, combo activator, and a good turn 1 play. Usually won’t go well with Lone Champion so try not to mulligan them together. You should usually have choices on turn 3 anyway.

Ironbeak Owl – Odd card replacement for Spellbreaker. Also helps to get through taunts and push face damage.

Hench-Clan Thug – If this can come out on turn 3 along with a dagger swing its strong. A vanilla 3 mana 4/4 that can quickly get out of control.

Fire Fly – Nice turn 1 play and also a combo activater.

Bone Baron – Provides tokens to activate combos. Also has a decent statline for an odd card.

Marsh Drake – I was going to have SI:7 Agent here but with only limited tokens, I thought it’d be best to limit the combo cards. And with your hero power being a vital part of this deck, it seems common that you can answer the 2/1 Marsh Drake summons.

Southsea Captain – The deck just so happens to have a decent amount of pirates so I decided to run 1 of these.

Captain Greenskin – With Deadly Poison and Cutthroat Buccaneer, you’ll find that an extra durability and attack can be quite useful.

Leeroy Jenkins – Good finisher along with Cold Blood

Valeera the Hallow – Combos with Leeroy Jenkins and Cold Blood. Also nice vs another aggro deck to swing back with Leeroy.

Mr. Uther, please cut the troll comments and keep this site clean. People come here to learn about Hearthstone- not to listen to fartboxes like yourself.
