Jab used this deck to finish 1st on the NA Legendary Ladder. He discusses the deck at length here. The deck is remarkably similar to ErA’s Season 13 Midrange Hunter (Jab credits the build) that also did well. Face Hunter is the target of Hunter scorn, but it’s Midrange Hunter that has been the better overall deck. One of the best counters for Midrange Hunter, however, is Face Hunter.

Hi any replacements for mad scientists?
It would be very tough to replace those. I’d probably go with a second Ironbeak Owl, and a second Piloted Shredder. Not having Mad Scientist is a pretty big weakness though.
I have been playing the deck and i tried to replace the Dr. Boom for a Strangletorn Tiger to totally mess up with oponnents BGHs, and it’s working. I think Tiger is a pretty underrated card. I’m playing on rank 5~4 with the deck btw
Replaced the Piloted Shredder for Kezan Mystic.
Works well. Spot could also be Big Game Hunter.
Depending on what utility you think you need.
