“the chances of getting two ultimate infestations in the starting hand/first six turns is less than 10%”

It Happened to me yesterday two games in a row

Still, its a pretty solid deck, i’m playing it (Rank 9 atm) without Lichking and Jenkings cos i dont have them… I’m considering getting rid of the Grand Archivist because so far it hasnt been very useful because:

    1. I draw him too early (stuck in my hand until turn 8)
    2. i draw him before any spiteful summoner and/or with a UI in hand. So using him decreases the chance / negates a succesful Summon.
    3. I draw him without any UI left in the deck.

Some times it works perfectly but the chance of him being useful is a lot smaller in this deck than it is in Spiteful Priest because of the fact that here you only have 2 spells in the deck.

Yeah I agree. I only have him in my deck because EVERY SINGLE SPITEDUL DRUID HAS IT!! So I just keep him in my deck anyways even though I don’t really like him.

I think you completely misunderstood the purpose of spiteful and prince. Also, your comment leads me to believe you’ve seen very few, if any, spiteful druids on ladder… If you get a prince before turn 4 and spiteful before turn 6 it’s normally gg. The cards positives GREATLY outweigh the negatives and with 2 spiteful and 1 grand activist in the deck the chances of you drawing both infest before playing spiteful or grand is very slim. Try the deck out, play it properly and if you loose then sit back and ask yourself what you could have done better that game. The deck is insane and me and thousands of other can attest to that.

Keleseth and spiteful summoner are only good if you draw them. You are pretty much screwed if you draw both ultimate infestations. Plus with all the aggro decks out right now aoe is super important. The only kind of aoe this deck MAY provide is from the lich King. I did not like this deck and druid is my favorite class.

Every deck rellies on luck. There is no deck that doesnt lose if the draws are terrible.
the chances of getting two ultimate infestations in the starting hand/first six turns is less than 10%.

Just want to point out that this is only a part of the relevant percentages – you also need to draw your Spitefuls (and Archivist, to a certain degree) before the UIs, and curving out is also pretty important for a deck that has fewer options regarding spells.

That said, I can’t play those decks. I’m fine with Spiteful Priest, because it’s really unlikely that the Spites will fizzle, but luck isn’t on my side when it comes to playing only 2 spells. Disregarding the fact that I never draw my Spitefuls to begin with… 😉

‘Card are only good if you draw them’ – Noob, 2018

Of course they are only good if you draw them … it’s a card game. There’s a certain value to having a card in your deck. Even if you only play Keleseth 5% of the time on turn 2 its still THAT good. It was the same thing with Barnes. It was the same reason people played the Pirate package with Patches. If you don’t understand tempo and value cards then you just don’t know what you’re doing at all in Hearthstone.
