Here’s a basic only Mage deck for the Battle of Tol Barad Tavern Brawl. You’re hoping to get value in the early game, get some decent trades and try to hold the board with the spells you get. You have 12 four drops which could lead to more Fireballs, which will hopefully give you enough firepower to finish your opponent. The 2-drops tend to lead to a lot of Hunter secrets which can be fairly valuable when played at the right time. If you’re in a tough spot and you have a Stormwind Champion, there’s actually only three 7-mana spells: Sprint, Crush, Flamestrike, and Everyfin is Awesome. So a timely Flamestrike for 0-mana can help save the game for you.

I’m running a minions only deck. Key cards are flame walker, summoning stone and Tony. Make sure minions can play on curve. 80% win rate, at least. Excellent brawl for gold farming.
Didn’t see this is basic cards only. I stand by minions only, though. Card advantage. Every minion draws a free play. Every spell gets you behind a card if you are playing me.
