Mulligans

General Mulligans

You NEED a turn 2 play of some kind with this deck. Bloodsail puts on the most pressure. Fal'dorei is always a strong keep, especially with a 2 drop in hand. Razorpetal Lasher gives you resources for an Auctioneer turn or your final damage push.

Aggro Mulligans

Aggro is pretty difficult. These are your best 2 drops, and always keep backstab.

Control Mulligans

In addition to 2 drop minions, these are all strong keeps vs control.

Hey all! This a fun deck I’ve been messing around with.

The main game plan is to take control of the board with your early minions and 1 mana hero power, have big tempo swings with Auctioneer and Fal’dorei, and close out the game with some burst thanks to spell damage.

I’m still experimenting with the list. As far as 2 drops go, Spellshifter underperforms. I actually think Kobold Geomancer, of all cards, is a better 2 drop with spell damage. Putting in an Ooze might be good as well. I also experimented with Biteweed, as a mini-Edwin… but it’s just too slow and doesn’t snowball super hard.

For 4 drops, I also experimented with Violet Teacher, but the tokens didn’t seem all that useful. Spellbreaker just a good tech card that could be considered over Ancient Mage or Lifedrinker. Grave Shambler is definitely a keeper; since you can dagger up so often, it means he’s basically a Hench Clan Thug most of the time. It might be worth running 2 of him as well.

Let me know what you think about the card inclusions, and feel free to ask any questions!

Attacking EVERY turn with your dagger is underrated – better board control or more chip damage at your opponent’s face. ALWAYS having a turn 1 play is underrated. This deck curves better than normal Miracle Rogue. I still believe normal Miracle is better, but with some more new cards, Even Rogue can become better.

Where are Shadowsteps for Fal’Dorei Strider?
    Why so many SPD minions?
Why only one copy of Frave Shambler, if your ability costs (1)?

      And where’s Vanish?

Fal’dorei (and arguably minstrel) are your only good shadowstep targets, and the deck probably doesn’t have a slot for one of them. Unlike some Miracle lists which run 1, you don’t have cards like SI:7 to get additional value out of it. Spellpower minions are to empower your Razorpetals and Eviscerates for the final push against control, or to use them to make better trades. A second Grave Shambler is probably optimal, you’re right about that.

No vanish for the same reason standard Miracle lists don’t run it: Having a board full of spiders and buffed minions means Vanish hurts you too.

    Hey!
I’ve also been messing around with even rogue the last 2 days and first of all: a lot of fun and really, really great against Control.
Beating up Baku warrior? No problem.

I have to agree with you on the Spellshifter. The one health version is such a weakness in nearly every matchup besides Warlock on turn 2, but I sticked with them for the spelldamage. I didn’t consider Geomancer, though.
I ended up with 2 Grave Shamblers. I think they are great. I cut Lifedrinker, because I think, that you have other things in the deck that do the things he does, better. The Ancient Mage felt to me like a hit or miss card depending on the matchup.

Has Paladin been trouble for you, as it has been for me, too?

Paladin is a big problem, sure the dagger trades but I usually have to use petals to stay alive. I don’t think you’re favored at all. I use Lifedrinker because it’s one of the best neutral healing cards, and you face trade a lot, so it seemed like a good fit. I might experiment with getting rid of it though. Ancient Mage is definitely a card I save for the final push, so it isn’t that great against aggro. It trades very poorly.
