Elemental Control Priest

Mulligans

With Mana Geode becoming an Elemental in the last patch this archetype is a bit more viable. You want to survive against aggro and try to swing against control with a big Miracle turn using Lyra the Sunshard and possibly Radiant ElementalServant of Kalimos is used mainly to fetch more Lyras but it’s a flexible card. Mana Geode is a surprisingly strong early game card and, if unanswered, can quickly take over the board. Late game he is an Elemental tag for Servant. Elise the Trailblazer and Shadow Visions is another late game win-con and a 5/5 for 5 is decent enough. Priest of the Feast is a must have in almost any Priest deck, he can win you games you shouldn’t win, he’s a pseudo taunt and the body is pretty good too. Tar Creeper is a great taunt minion and an elemental tag. Anything else in the deck probably doesn’t need explanation (typical removal, standard Priest auto-picks, etc.)

Nice deck, was looking forward to the elemental priest action myself when I saw the changes! My thoughts after running this deck: 2 Dragonsfire and 2 SWD seemed a bit overkill, and PotF was competing too much with Lyra for my limited number of spells (compared to other control priest lists). I was also feeling slightly weak in the card draw department after losing my precious Glimmerroots, so I added 2 Shifting Shades. The 4 attack minions combined with the health buffs in the list were fatal to the increased number of priests there are now on ladder. Also added 2 Lightspawn for the same health buff reasons. Good shit.

    -1 Dragonsfire Potion
    -1 Shadow Word: Death
    -2 Priest of the Feast
    +2 Shifting Shade
    +2 Lightspawn

thanks man. I never thought of shifting shade, to be honest it was the last card on my mind but I’d be keen to try it out. I guess you could remove something to use Glimmeroot. Lightspawn seems a bit Eh, personally I wouldn’t use it but it’s probably worth testing. Cheers you’ve given me something to think about. Enjoy 🙂
