Deck Import

The quest card that impressed me the most is definitely the priest one, withe the warrior close second. This is basically how a Priest quest deck would work. To activate the quest you need summon, not play, 7 deathrattle minions, so quirky cards like Barnes, Mirage Caller and of course N’Zoth would work quite fine.

One gigantic thing to keep in mind is that we don’t really know what the meta would look like so it is hard to evaluate which tech cards might actually be considered auto-include. I can guarantee you in the beginning of the new expansion everyone will be trying out the new quests, so basically there will be a lot of control decks, which this deck would work pretty good against. Down the line,if any deck seems dominant you can easily make adjustments so the priest can keep up with it.

Deathrattle minions put in the deck are 11 (apart from Barnes, Mirage caller and N’zoth). The number is more than enough to complete the quest successfully fast enough. After you set your health to 40, N’Zoth would be enough of a win condition you’ll need. The deck has enough card generation and draw, so you don’t run out of cards against other control decks.

Cabal Shadow Priest vs. Holy Nova
This was probably the hardest choice I had to make to keep the deck optimal. I am aware that the deck has no five drops but I couldn’t fit any in the deck that would make it stronger, after all this deck won’t win by playing on curve every turn.
Why did I choose Shadow Priest over Holy Nova?
Dragonfire potion is the superior board clear and It will be more that enough to keep the enemy board in check throughout the game, so holy nova might end up being a dead card in most games. Where cabal shadow priest, even though being the greedier card will lead to some pretty sick comebacks or twists regarding the dynamic of the game. If the meta fastens I will personally change cabal shadow priest into holy nova or shadow madness, but if you are facing more control, tempo or combo decks the cabal would do just fine.
