Greetings!

Welcome to my first ever deck submission to Hearthstone Top Decks, the Bolster C’Thun Hybrid Warrior. This deck takes advantage of the obvious synergy between Bolster and the two C’Thun Taunt cards – Crazed Worshipper and Twin Emperor Vek'lor. I have intentionally left out Twilight Geomancer because I personally don’t think you’d want to be using Bolster on C'Thun, but it’s probably worth experimenting with!

Firstly, I’ve included the obvious C'Thun buff cards – (Beckoner of EvilDisciple of C'Thun and C'Thun's Chosen) as they’re pretty solid anyway and will ensure Ancient Shieldbearer and Twin Emperor Vek'lor go off properly. They can also have some great synergy with Sparring Partner (think C'Thun's Chosen with Taunt on 6 then curving into Crazed Worshipper and Bolster on 7!).

Fierce Monkey and Bloodhoof Brave are two solid Taunts that are in to get more value from Bolster, but in the case of Bloodhoof Brave, who has no real activators in the deck for his Enrage ability, it might be worth trying something else in his place.

Execute  and Shield Slam  provide your late-game removal with Fiery War Axe there to keep you alive in the early-game. You’ve also got the Battlecry from Disciple of C'Thun to give you that extra little bit if needed.

The other major thing I wanted to include is armor-gain. With Armorsmith, Shield BlockAncient Shieldbearer, and proper use of your hero power, there should be a nice constant stream of that yummy stuff to keep you alive long enough to throw down C'Thun and (hopefully) win.

The main problem I’ve had so far is aggro decks. If you can get your taunts out on curve then you can usually slow them down enough to still win, but I feel like including Brawl or some other sweeper might be necessary if this problem persists.

This deck is obviously still a work in progress, and I’d appreciate any feedback from anybody who spots anything that might improve it! Thanks for looking!

Changes:

Edit 1: Removed 1x Crazed Worshipper for 1x Brawl.

Edit 2: Removed 1x Beckoner of Evil for 1x Acolyte of Pain.

Edit 3: Removed 1x Acolyte of Pain and 1x Bloodhoof Brave for 1x Ravaging Ghoul and 1x Battle Rage.

Edit 4: Removed 1x Shield Slam and 1x Battle Rage for 2x Acolyte of Pain.

Would you not run The Black Knight with 2 sparring partners?

Probably a good idea, although what would you take out? The problem with this deck is that it’s trying to do a lot of things at once, so it can end up just being a mess. When it works though, it’s a lot of fun.

Adding The Black Knight adds another hard removel tool. Can combo using Sparring Partner on an enemy minion.

Just replied to a similar comment above, – I think I’d probably take out one of the C’Thun cards for it.

Looks like a cool idea, how is the winrate? And is taunting cthun’s chosen that has 2 health really a good idea?

The win rate is surprisingly good for a deck that tries to do so many things; you can make a lot of people concede with a good Bolster!

With the C’Thun’s Chosen, maybe not, but if it still had divine shield it could be good.
