It’s certainly possible to hit Legend with this deck, but I don’t think it’s currently the strongest Priest deck. Both Inner Fire Combo and Reno are a little better right now.

I’ve had poor luck with this deck the second I run across control without a perfect hand. I feel like I run out of gas way too soon and I have no answers to Sludge Belcher… I really feel the lack of lightbomb or D-fire potion when it gets into mid-game…

Essentially the only thing this does well against is aggro but those are rarer in Wild than in Standard right now… against freeze mage (which in rank 16-13 I saw a freeze mage 8 out of 10 times) it’s auto-lose. You can’t outpace the control they put on you and none of your minions survive FlameStrike save Twilight Guardian…

Can someone help me figure out what I’m doing wrong? This is an aggressive curve on a midrange-y deck archetype I get it but there’s nothing to bring it over the hill when turn 7 rolls around and lethal isn’t set up.

An early curve is critical to this deck’s success. The reasoning against Dragonfire Potion is that you have fewer dragon minions than non-dragons. The healing on both minions and face from Holy Nova is often relevant as well.

Freeze Mage is a bit of a problem for this deck because of the reliance on minion damage. Your best opportunity is to Discover Ice Block and/or burn spells from your opponent’s deck.

The aggressive curve is meant to stay ahead of aggro decks, which meta reports still suggest are popular choices. It does have some options for outvaluing greedy decks with Brann + Operative/Historian as well.

The deck does have some unfavorable matchups, but I think it’s still in a decent spot in the current meta.
