Great deck if you enjoy losing in a fun way.

I’ve played this many several times at Rank 19. I was not able to win a single game with the original deck. I changed it a lot and won one game against a Spell Hunter because I just happened to be able to clear both of this Spellstone wolves. Today at Rank 19 almost every deck is Cubelock, Spell Hunter, or Paladin. The deck fails against all those decks because it has grossly inferior tempo and no way to swing the game around unless you get just extremely lucky with spellstone. Sure, it won’t run out of cards, but that doesn’t really help when Guld’an summons a board full of demons.

Really love this deck. It has trouble against the super aggressive decks but you can out value control decks super hard. I’d recommend cutting Toki for Baron Geddon and if you want more answers for aggro decks try to work in a Doomsayer or two. Arugal is an option to cut since, while powerful, this deck rarely has the hand space to get full value from him.

I have arugal, Toki AND Jaina, but I’m missing voodoo doll, book of specters, and blazecaller. Is it worth crafting? Should I dust some unviable legends or look for replacements? I don’t have essentials for other archetypes like shudderwock or dude paladin. I only have a budget ele battlecry shaman and incomplete lady in white deck atm

TBH I’ve been playing this deck for a couple days. and I rarely get to use Arugal and Book of specters. My hand is almost always maxed out. Just sub in some taunt cards. aggro wrecks this deck.

The best mage deck so far, maybe its a little slow but if you know how to play it you will win most of the time.
Thank you Kibler for this deck…should be tier 1 in my opinion πŸ™‚

How’d you beat aggro decks like Baku paladin tho , just made this deck, having a hard time with them

It’s not particularly strong against Baku Paladin or hardcore rush decks. They’ll overwhelm you if they get good curve.

I took out Toki for Baron Geddon. Geddon is SUPER good in this meta and Toki is just Kibler doing something sweet.

Wats the strategy with using arugal? Is it better to use him early game or late game?

You pretty much only want to play a arugal the turn you play a book of specters or at least bonfire elemental

there is no strategy, its classic zoo deck but this time its mage not warlock, u throw everything on board and hope for no board clear, ez win

basically your gonna want to pressure with elementals while getting your spellstones max then play archmage and your draw and spellstones then leyline to get really cheap cards and overwhelm/ control the board

It’s a fun card which is easily replacable.

I wouldn’t craft it just yet. Its super random so just wait and see if the card finds a play in next week or two.

I got it for my free legend. It’s reasonably strong, but ofc inconsistent. I seem to be getting more of the recent legendaries from gadgetzen and old gods. I also noticed that two copies of toki (mostly from simulacrum but the method is up to you) is much better than one; Toki, Brann, Toki was outrageous enough for my opponent to concede.

And here i felt so lucky with my gunspire as my free legendary =P.

My free legendary was Prince liam, I immediately made secret paladin. I’m just making genn greymane and countless Ashmore decks right now because I pulled them golden.

Toki is slightly better than I thought originally, often allowing you to fill some curves and rarely, but sometimes hitting ragnaros, Sylvania or dr. Boom and just winning. The deck is basically you curve out and try to have an elemental the turn before blazecaller and bonfire elemental to get their buffs. You also have burn and voodoo doll to deal with huge threats, a really solid deck.
