Community Hearthstone Decks of the Week (Standard, Old Gods) – May 5th, 2016

We’re over a week into the meta with the new Whispers of the Old Gods expansion and the decks are starting to get a bit more refined. Shaman, Warrior, Paladin, and Rogue seem to have found strong lists and continue to flourish. It remains to be seen whether or not any other strong decks come out of the new set!

If you haven’t already you can Register and create new decks with our Hearthstone Deck Builder.

These decks are chosen based on originality, popularity, and guide construction. Utilization of all aspects of the deck builder, e.g., Featured Image, Deck Description, and Mulligans makes you far more likely to be chosen.

Check out all of the Community’s decks here.

Yogg-Saron, Hope's End has been popping up in a lot of decks lately, I’m honestly not sure if the card has any viability or if people are just trolling. Shaman hasn’t seen a lot of Yogg in it, and with all the strong Shaman cards it actually makes some sense for this deck to be reasonable. I think this list looks pretty well-rounded and Cameldd includes an impressive guide that teaches you how to play every matchup!

Exidium back with another strong deck guide! This deck has some merit, because Thijs was running a similar Reno-C’Thun list that was doing pretty well on the ladder. I like this list, it includes some interesting cards like Jeweled Scarab and Nexus-Champion Saraad which should get you some pretty good value!

This is another interesting list that uses Dragon synergy and the potential combo of Soulfire, Emperor Thaurissan, and Malygos to burst your opponent down. This is a very solid list, and Rufas discusses all of the card choices at length!

Dragon minions and N'Zoth, The Corruptor? Now we’re talking! Rogue was thought to be a dead class after the loss of Blade Flurry, but it seems like they have more decks than ever! Journey Below, Xaril, Poisoned Mind, and Undercity Huckster have proven to be pretty strong cards for the class. The deck leans on Deathrattle and Dragon synergy to get the most out of a late game N’Zoth, the Corruptor.

Thanks to AnInfiniteMemory for the submission!

Savjz was having some success with a Lock and Load and Yogg-Saron list, so this could be an interesting deck to give a try. The deck does require a bit of positive RNG, but can be pretty powerful if given a chance to go off. I really like the inclusion of King's Elekk which can almost guarantee you drawing either Emperor Thaurissan or Yogg!

Thanks to Gully1824 for the submission!
