Community Decks of the Week (Wild, Standard, and WOG Theorycraft) – April 22nd, 2016

We’ve seen all of the Whispers of the Old Gods cards and are very close to seeing the release of the expansion and the Standard Format. It’s a good time to start brewing some decks and seeing what might work and might not. Thanks to everyone who has submitted decks so far!

If you haven’t already you can Register and create new decks with our Hearthstone Deck Builder.

These decks are chosen based on originality, popularity, and guide construction. Utilization of all aspects of the deck builder, e.g., Featured Image, Deck Description, and Mulligans makes you far more likely to be chosen.

I didn’t immediately realize how well some of the Murlocs would pair with Steward of Darkshire. Now that I see it in this deck I’m a little scared that we might be looking at being overrun by the sounds of the Mrrggglllgrrrggglll. It might be missing a card or two just yet, but it could be on the verge of being scary.

Thanks to TheCLEfan for the submission!

C’Thun Druid is looking like it’s going to be a thing based on the fact that it arguably got the strongest C’Thun cards in Klaxxi Amber-Weaver and Dark Arakkoa. The C’Thun cards also pair quite nicely with Druid’s ramp ability and the curve looks fairly solid. We’ll see how strong it ends up being.

Thanks to Nick Muffin for the submission!

Most people seem to feel like Shaman is going to be the new Paladin in constructed. It’s hard to argue with that when you see cards like Evolve, Eternal Sentinel, Master of Evolution, and Thing from Below. The big question is if Aggro Shaman will be overtaken by a Midrange/Control Shaman deck. Aggro Shaman is pretty strong right now, and it only really loses Crackle in Standard. It might truly be time for the elements to guide you.

Thanks to KalKal5699 for the submission!

BadDude already sees the future of Aggro and Midrange Shaman and has come up with a Priest deck to counter it. Priest is losing a lot of powerful tools in standard (Deathlord, Lightbomb, etc.) and a C'Thun built deck might be one of its only options (maybe a burst combo deck with Embrace the Shadow). This deck does look solid and it will be interesting how popular C’Thun decks are.

Thanks to BadDude for the submission!

A lot of good Deathrattle minions are going out of Standard, so Deathrattle Rogue in Wild might be pretty strong. Enmoore puts together the strong Deathrattle cards into a seemingly strong list!

Thanks to Enmoore for the submission!

BadDude again, but this time he comes up with a really unique idea. The deck revolves around minions that provide extra value when they receive damage. So cards like Grim Patron, Dragon Egg, and Crazed Worshipper are added to the list. This sounds like a Warrior deck, but in reality it’s Warlock! The card Spreading Madness is one of the keys to the deck, and can really help get value out of those minions.

Thanks to BadDude for the submission!

These are all quite fun ideas! I quite love the Patron warlock idea, and will definitely give it a go! I wish I would have posted my Nightblade deck a week later though so it had a chance to be on here x3

I’m sure you’ll come up with something new that will make the list. Your last deck was great! 🙂
