So not being a rogue user myself, I don’t know how practical this would be. Nevertheless, it strikes me that Gang Up might be just the card to use on him. As a rogue, you could just pack your deck with control spell so you would survive until round 10. You’d have to decrease the Mana Cost of both Rage Unbound and GU, or have preparation, so I guess the combo would be unwieldy. My question is, could a Rogue survive until round ten with their only minions (I’m thinking about 10 of them) being over 7 mana?

I see one, and only one, sensible use for this card, as I believe it’s a little too clunky for control warrior. A certain sort of variation of OTK shaman with ancestors call, reason being, OTK shaman has almost no minions bar Malygos, and if you are willing to add “give wind fury” cards to your deck, the big Y is your second win condition, who when called, can drop both game ending threats on the board.

Varian Wrynn 2.0 minus the class restriction +3/+3.

A very underrated legendary in my opinion, i think it will be amazing in a deck with just a handful of massive minions, and lots of control and removal spells for the early game. In a deck like that, he’s definitely more consistent and powerful than Varian.

Keep in mind that for people comparing him to Varian, only warrior can play him, there are other classes who’d be really OP if they had Varian, and this card will fit in perfectly in those decks.

this card works very well with the blood of the ancient ones. I guess some great cards are coming to work with y’shaarj or YA-sha-raj (thats how you pronounce it)

In priest with the new legendary it is more easy to play blood of the ancient one, also playing manipulators, but the problem is that the new priest legendary and manipulator have battlecry, and yshaarj deny battlecries

I feel like this Old God is an interesting one. While the other two require for cards to have already have been played (C’thun for buff minions and N’Zoth for deathrattle minions), this card only requires that you have minions in your deck. Not to mention it WONT force you to draw crads, unlike Varian Wyren who (at worst) will draw 3 fatigue cards when played. You are guaranteed a minion if you have them in your deck and by late game you maybe fishing for that Ragnaros or Tiren of yours rather then risk drawing it. Overall, for an all-class card, it sure beats Varian out of the decks for sure. Also it being a 10/10 helps quite a bit as well.

I think it is too hard to tell what cards will be good except for the really really bad ones (Boggey monster) and the really really good ones (Which I can’t think of) not only because we are getting standard, not only because we haven’t seen all the cards yet, but also because a lot of classic cards are getting nerfed and potentially buffed (Big game hunter being a prime target)

In constructed that card is an issue for removal))) swd….. well the main problam with this card you pull out off your deck a card.. and it can be a battlecry card.. like keeper in druid. And that would be bad.. I think paltress 5-4 hero power summon a leg. Minion right away for 9 and varian reyn which can summon let’s say a gromash and smorc your opponents face right away for 12 with battle rage is just better. So far best one is Nzoth.. then Cthun and this one is just bad in constructed

Not that bad dude, if you want to play astral communion this is such the best card in the game

        April 16, 2016 at 1:18 am

Not really, anything above an 8-drop is still too slow for astral as you can’t draw into them with wild growth or wrath after you astral, leaving you with 8 mana and a 10-drop. Consistency is still a thing in astral druid.

true, but its probely just a bad writing on the card. anything can happen says, summon 7 murlocs that died this game(it say it like it sommon random seven from u and enemi, maybe 2 to the enemy and 5 to you, but it will only sommon for the one using the card. that is bad writing)

      • Wunarg
        March 31, 2016 at 10:29 am

wait, maybe you are supposed to only have huge other minions in your deck?
Like Ragnaros, Good Ragnaros and Tyrion?
Then you get a 10 Mana bundle for a 10/10 and Rag and that 10/10 also gets you more minions

      • Ghoster
        March 31, 2016 at 10:31 am

Well this card and Ancient Harbringer works well with Varian, ofc if this card brings Varian trough effect it aint worth it, but if Varian brings this its really worth. If that type of deck becomes viable, since Varian now days sees no play, the best counter to it is Lightbomb which is being rotated so yea. Warlocks might abuse Twisting Nether to just counter it.

I still think that Varian is better, because +3/3 doesnt make a diffrence, but Varian is a class legendary. Also when Varian draws 3 spells the value is horrible

This one is just less based on RNG.

        • Nightfall
          March 31, 2016 at 11:37 am

less rng not class specific (warriors can’t really use varian to much because it draws 3 cards and warriors most times go late game), it’ll see some play…

          March 31, 2016 at 12:28 pm

          @ghoster
Varian is heavily rng if you are going to play a 10 mana you wouldn’t want to rely on rng unless if you are winning. Varian isn’t better because (from my previous comment) this card is more flexible. Also there’s the odd of drawing 3 spells which can be extremely frustrating. AND lightbomb is NOT getting rotated. lightbomb is from tgt.

        March 31, 2016 at 12:41 pm

I think y’shaarj is better, but thats just my opinion (weaker to boardclears, doesn’t empty deck to much, etc)

        March 31, 2016 at 3:09 pm

        Varian is warrior only.

    • Halo
      March 31, 2016 at 12:25 pm

weakest old god? I highly doubt it. With the ability to get any card from your deck into the battlefield is a lot more flexible than you think. unlike the other two god cards. this one can save you for sure. lets say you are about to lose and play this. you can summon a big taunt (druid 8/8 for example) and boom your saved. if you are winning summon a rag to immediately deal 8 damage. you are getting a 10/10 + x/x body for 10 mana. This card in my opinion is the strongest one because it can fit in nearly every deck compared to the other two. Cthun damage is rng based but yes it does have a chance to save you but not guaranteed like yshaarj. Nzoth only revives deathrattles also rng based, sludge is going to be gone so the odds of getting a good taunt is low.

      • Nightfall
        March 31, 2016 at 12:38 pm

c’thun could be strong but also could be weak, n’zoth works with simply adding 6 good deathrattles to your deck, BUUT y’shaarj doesn’t have to be played later when minions have died and stuff, because y’shaarj’s effect works throughout the whole game and will be strong untill you run out of cards in your deck. y’shaarj is very strong because if I take for example varian wrynn, you get 1 7/7 + 3 cards, minions instantly played, thats weak to a strong board clear, not only killing varian, but also possibly 3 other cards. if y’shaarj gets hit with a board clear it might kill y’shaarj (I highly doubt it because its a 10/10 and stuff) and probably will kill the other card. y’shaarj might not look stronger than varian, but I think he is. for a neutral card to be stronger than a class card it must be a strong card

@balencedrago: You do not choose, the effect is random.

        2. the minion you get cannot use his end of turn effect

You can make a control deck with a lot of big minions, play this and just watch your massive minions pile on while your opponent cries for a removal topdeck , only to realize another big minion is coming and that its futile >:D
