Honestly, this could have no text and it would still be pretty good.

    Turn 1 – Webspinner
    Turn 2 – Mad Scientist
    Turn 3 – Forlorn Stalker
    Turn 4 – Piloted Shredder
    Turn 5 – Princess Huharan
    Turn 6 – Savannah Highmane

Yea…. can’t wait to see the many implications used in this upcoming release.

Except in Standard you’ve lost Webspinner, Mad Scientist and Piloted Shredder.

Can you say hymane? Bliz is trying really hard to make a viable mid range hunter. Problem is the hero power begs for aggression.

This could have great synergy with cards like twilight summoner. Could possibly see competitive play, but even if it doesn’t it looks like a lot of fun.

It seems finally we have a playable hunter legendary card!
You know, King Krush and Gahz’rilla have good stats but their power are so circumstantial. The other 2 brothers (Acidmaw and Dreadscale) are very hard to play and not an effective combo.
But this new wasp, Princess Huhuran, it’s absolutely amazing, incredible synergy with many cards by a decent cost.

Might also see some use in a Zoo-type deck with Spawn of N’Zoth maybe…

How about anubisat value. You summon a 44.. then this one and get instead of 65 a 98. And a threat it can become a 12 11

Also increases the value of Ram Wrangler and Tomb Spider a bit

You’d lose the battlecry with Ram Wrangler though.

its one of the better beasts even without the battlecry the stats are great for 5 mana with a 3/3

Let’s say that you Highmane also has infest and explorers hat. It will trigger all these deathrattles at once yeah? Also I’m guessin that it’s a targeted effect, as in you choose the minion you want to trigger as you play this card?

Will the death rattle trigger again when the minion dies?

Strong minion, good for deathrattle deck, not the better effect possible, but it’s ok.

This is a Princess of the Mantis, isnt it? And a Beast… shouldnt cards like Klaxxi Ember-Weaver be beasts too? consistency pls xD

99% sure princess Huhuran is Qirajj, which is different from the Mantid, and she really isn’t humanoid while Klaxxi- amberweaver is.

i think she is no Mantis! She is silithid and that is a race of insect like beasts!

Just to clarify, Princess Huhuran is a large silithid wasp, and the fourth boss of the Temple of Ahn’Qiraj.

im sure its obvious how strong this card is, but its a rather boring effect for a class specific legendary

      April 18, 2016 at 8:15 am

not all legendaries have to have unique or super cool effects

    • Safari
      April 18, 2016 at 8:43 am

Could be. At the moment I think there are many different effects around beasts, however not the best in competitive terms. What I think we have in this new set is a new dynamism for the hunter Beast Master. With the new Infest spell and now the Princess, I think there will be tons of beasts again. So cards like Rhino, Hyena and even the Buzzard or Timber Wolf could be playable in Standard. In addition, if you include Sylvanas and Cairne and a couple of finishers, the team could be completed. In Wild, there are other options to complete the squad like Nerubian Egg, Feugen/Stalagg, Shredder/Sky Golem/Sneed and Baron Rivendare. Let’s see how the meta goes around them in both formats.

The threat potential of having a Savannah Highmane on board when Princess Hururan comes into play is insane. 10/9 for 5? Yes, please!

Hands down, one of the best 5 drops in the entire game.

Feign Death is a 2-cost card that can trigger Sylvannas, Boom, Old Shredder, Cairne, Highmane… deathrattles… and it has almost never seen play.
This is a minion with good stats but you can’t combo it with strong, high-cost cards. Anyway, playing it in a low curve of good deathrattle cards (aggro or midrange) can be powerful.
And even in a more control oriented deck, if one of your strong minions is alive, you can take a good advantage.
Let’s see the whole WoG thing, but I’m not sure this card is THAT good.

you cant compare a minion to a spell (when talking about playability) there are minions that see play with an identical effect is a spell that doesnt. by having a body to go with that effect it is a high tempo play which will always be better than just a spell effect. when you dont have any death rattles this isnt a dead card in your hand like feign death because it has good stats, and is much better when top decking because its essentially drawing feign death and big minion at the same time

      • Slynky
        April 18, 2016 at 7:06 am

I agree with you, having a minion in hand is better than having a dead card.
But as I said, this card can fit an aggro or midrange deck. Which isn’t a good or bad thing.
I’m just meaning that people should forget about big plays and impossible combos, because a big threat like Sylvannas or Highmane will usually die in the very same turn they’re played, and, well… 6+5=11.

Everyone is missing the Twilight summoner interaction, play summoner on turn 4 and this on 5. I know being a 1/1 it could easily die but no one will kill it unless they have the means of killing two seperate bodies with 6/6 worth of stats on turn 4. and maybe even forlorn stalker on turn 3 to make twilight summoner a 2/2 who knows.

    Solid minion, nice colors.
But a Mantis with a crown and mammal eyes? Come on..

Yeah, the opponent will immediately give up when he sees this card’s colors! That’s what is most important in a card, after all. Look at that silly Deathwing, all red and black. Tasteless!

Difficult, but possible synergy with Twilight Summoner perhaps? I figure that Twilight Summoner could turn out to be a pretty good card in any deathrattle Hunter deck anyway, with Feign Death being a 2-mana Summon a 5/5 with just the Summoner alone.

They are really going for Deathrattle Hunter here!

I was hoping to try my hand at deathrattle hunter with the release of WoTG, and while this fits the theme I’m not really certain how good it is.
I mean it’s not TERRIBLE, but unless some really good stable deathrattles hit the hunter class at the 4 drop slot, I’m not convinced a worse Feign Death on a stick is worth Legendary status.
Hopefully it is good enough that hunter gets a playable legendary for once, there’s certainly value with Highmane and Sylvanus.

Finally! Love for deathrattle hunters! Basically, if it triggers anything at all (aside from Zombie Chow and the like) it gets value.

    Also, the art is wonderful.

    5/5.

Solid body with a great effect, can see this triggering Sylvanas and highmane on turn 7. This is the legend hunters have been calling for.
