3 mana draw 2 card is ok but with this, you save a card in your deck

Am I wrong to say that this card isn’t that bad? While yes, Fan is a thing, this can become much more potent on an Auctioneer turn, depending on RNG. It gets reduced to 0 by Prep, and if it can draw a 0-mana card, it can vastly increase the effectiveness of your turn.

And hey, it is much better than the Legendary and the Quest, right? 😀

While i personally am not a huge fan of the rogue quest i do think it is interesting. it creates a new thought in deck design. and it occured to me, everyone was pissed off about 7/7’s for 4 but if rogue builds their deck well. they could have a LOT of 5/5’s for 1. now 4 less stats with 3 lower cost is pretty appealing imo.

but I think this card is better than people are rating it at. it is for some intents, a better Arcane Intellect, in a deck that would use a card like this it would have things worth duplicating. like a pirate deck or a jade deck. it would draw 1 card and duplicate that card. it is less punishing than thistle tea if you pull a backstab because of the mana cost. and at that early point 2 backstabs in hand can be useful. but what if you draw and duplicate any jade card. which in a jade deck would be 7 of your 30 cards in rogue (aya, 2 jade spirit, 2 jade shuriken, 2 jade swarmers). that is pretty good value for the card. or perhaps you draw and duplicate a southsea captain.

TL;DR this card is very similar to AI and i feel it is a pretty decent card

How about finally getting a rogue weapon?

Weapons are fantastic when actually used for control, but when given to classes that tend to be aggressive (Hunter, Shaman, Rogue, and now Warrior), they have a tendency to be abused. Rogue needs board control tools and healing if the archetype is really going to develop beyond the aggro-miracle style.

We can talk about that blade flurry nerf, which if I recall was board control

I know right! Blizzard’s entire ideology of nerfing bladeflurry was so that they could design better weapons for rogue, Brode thought that with such a strong bladeflurry spell they couldn’t make better rogue weapons without breaking the class. Un’Goro will be the third set in which Rogue has received no new weapon, and the only expansion to give us a weapon was Kharazhan with the deadly fork. We all see how much play that gets lol.

I am pretty sure I’ve stated it somewhere else, but if rather a weapon buff you know, a +1/+1 maybe, whatever that’s worth in mana, idk it just the class, has very little identity, mean streets, did their, stealth, and a pirate. I’d just like you know more combat rogue, less sub rogue.

A MUCH less demanding Thistle Tea. 3 mana is MUCH easier to deal with as a Rogue, especially with Preparation. Helps out the Rogue quest, and is decent Miracle fodder combined with Preparation. Definitely better than Thistle Tea IMO, but not sure how it stacks up against other draws or copy effects.

    This compares to arcane intellect…

arcane gets two cards you know you want (as you put them in your deck) and thins your deck (which could be good as it increases your chances of getting other cards you want for specific situations.

This gets the same card to mana value as arcane, but doesn’t thin your deck as much, decreasing the chances of drawing in to solutions when needed. However it does play in to the mechanic that rogue seems to now want to take advantage of which is to play multiple copies, so this would be considered a positive.

    Overall, a well designed card.

I hope the meta allows more decks that focus on what they want to do rather than stopping your opponent can exist… it seems this is what they are pushing for!

This card is basically draw two cards and supports the rogue quest. It’s totally different than fan.

We alredy have fan of knives why do we need this card.Unless Rogue gains a useful(strategic to cast) board clear I dont see this being used over fan. I see the delusion of a control rogue but the lack of healing and board clear makes only miracle posible.

Miracle rogue isn’t the only rogue deck. And let me remind you that miracle rogue will be seriously nerfed since conceal is going out of standard.
