This card has a cool concept but I don’t think it is very good, it won’t see much competitive play believe me

I don’t get all the negative comments, in fact I think this could be a great card. With 6 mana you can play this card and swap one of your minion with something like Ysera or Ragnaros (if you have them in your hand).

My bad. Swaps cards between the field and the deck, not between the field and the hand. So yes, not really a great card…

Perhaps it’s good in Deathrattle decks for the same reason Barnes is?

It can be abused with tokens, like Polymorph in MTG.

a good card screams positives, this has way to many negatives attached to it . it is a cool concept card but lets be honest how much turns and investment do you need to make this work + you only have 1 copy and on top of that the luck factor applies to it too, no deck ever will use this successfully its a bad six drop that reduces the quality of 6 drops and but a great arena card overall my bet in constructed its complete garbage

Well, I think this card is intended to be played in control decks, so the time investment isn’t really much of a downside. The idea would be to play it in a deck with lots of removal and spells that summon minions early where the only actual minions in the deck aside from Goya are late game powerhouses like Ragnaros, Ysera, Tirion Fordring, etc. That way you control the board with spells and eventually swap a Saproling or something for a big heavy hitter. Seems legit to me, I dunno how powerful it will be in practice though.

I’m just wondering if Ancient Brewmaster or Youthful Brewmaster are better than Madam Goya because you have the minion immediately in your hand, in addition you don’t miss an important battlecry when swapping.

This card isn’t half bad. You can Recycle an important Battlecry minion back into your deck AND draw a SPECIFIC minion from your deck that you put into play.

Dream Scenario: Swap your on-play Reno for an on-play Ysera.

It’s not a specific minion, disguised toast already showed how it works and before you say that it doesn’t say it’s random, neither did onyx bishop

you can play this with potion of madness for a makeshift entomb and get a minion from your deck out of it.

I like that you can trade your Reno Jackson into a Tomb Pillager, get him to 1 health and then save him by swapping.

This could be really good in decks that center around specific cards that you need over and over again. Might be good in Reno decks

This card seemes really similar to the replace mechanic in that game duelyst and the replace is pretty good in that game. Let’s say malchessar gives you natpaggle and you don’t want him, then you play madam Goya and mulligan for something Better. You could also get rid of the 1-drop that you never played in need of something bigger like rag. Even though on turn six a 4/3 is terrible and his cards ability is kinda slow for the current meta game.

I imagine that with the cards introduced in this set you would play this card with the grimstreet cards so that if it sits in your hand it gets buffed so that you’re not just playing a 4/3 for 6 mana. It would be interesting to see something like a turn 10 play where you Barnes and then use madam Goya on the 1/1 minion just to get something else and you would essentially create another copy of the minion that Barnes created. So hey who knows what kind of crazy shit will happen.

But you’ll have had to spend the mana to play the Nat in the first place, plus he’s then back in your deck clogging it up again. And you’ve spent 6 mana to change him for something completely random and the card itself has a terrible statline for the cost. Bad card is bad imo.
