Turn 7 the curator: draw primordial Drake and mosh. Get taunt, work on quest
Turn 8 primordial Drake: get taunt, work on quest, dmg all enemies
Turn 9 mosh: destroy dmged enemy board.

Thats the combo we should be thinking about. Whirlwind is just an optional extra activator

i think this will be awesome because if it even hits 2 decent sized enemy targets its good and i’m never going to say no to even more destroy removal

This card is terrible and will not see play. I see the whirlwind combo but the fact that you need specifically whirlwind in order for this to do something is terrible. Also whirlwind by itself is aterrible card unless you combo it with something. So if you’re waiting all game with a whirlwind in your hand to cast it with this card…. um no. To specific and not going to happen. Maybe in some kind of combo deck but competitive play, I say no.

Whirlwind+king mosh. Warriors get another deathwing with lower stats and you keep your hand

Another reason Sylvanas has to go.

When warlocks and rogues fill board with imps and 5/5s, you definitely need more board wiping.

Love the beast tag, retrievable with curator!

I love the mechanic and concept of this card. The stats aren’t overly powerful and the cost/effect is reasonable. Makes for a great combo with whirlwind. Great design Blizzard.

As clunky as this is, its a hell of a lot better then Dreadscale and Acid Maw. Probably because it’s just better in general. Also, you combo with whirlwind it’s pretty damn good. I don’t know. Seems good enough as a warrior card because control can live long enough to play this.

So Un’Goro is the “anti-Jade” expansion then?

it was something long needed, you can practically faceroll through ranked almost like pirate warrior using either jade druid or shaman

pisses me off rogue got face fuckked with two jade cards. I know rogue is still good but that’s only because of gadgetzan auctioneer and classic cards and basic set cards. Rogue hasn’t changed all that much in a really really long time.

A big minion with a mass Execute attached to it. Might be too slow, but seems good enough to try it out. Hitting 2 targets with Whirlwind+King Mosh in a control matchup is already good enough and leaves a huge body behind.

Good card to safe your ass or to destroy your enemy’s board.

Whirlwind + King Mosh —> like a deathwing
Protect the king + King Mosh —> to trap the enemy

Maybe it will have some synergies with the warrior quest card

…..how does it combo with protect the king at all? apart from being a big body? you can’t even play both on the same turn, I’m confused what you mean

Protect the king is 1/1 with taunt, which your opponent likely will attack with his/her minions. Next turn you play King Mosh and kill all damaged enemy minions.

I dont know how the meta is gonna be but in the good old days of control warrior i would have played it. Mind Baron Gedon were played consistenly. So the card bynitself is good. Lets see rest of the warrior set

So far none of the warrior cards are competitive. Is this finally the meta where warrior won’t have a tier 1 deck?

If you recall, warrior was trash tier for a very long time. It didn’t really get serious play until Grim Patron and control caught on, which were around the same time.

Control warrior was always a thing, it just got really good around nax/gvg with sludge Belcher and shield maiden, but warrior was always good

Out of all 30 pirate warrior cards, they still have 29 of them. So no.

    fits that warrior theme nicely.

Crap card for the cost. Worse because it will almost always need a 2 card combo to work. You cant use it with revenge, ghoul, anything except whirlwind.

He will kill your dudes too regardless of how you trade. So you cant take advantage of it that way either.
Sure, a board wide execute effect is nice idea. but it would be fair on a 6 mana 6-5 legendary. Not to mention the legendary tag allows only 1 per deck and causes inconsistency.

      Its worthless guys.

It does work with revenge and ravaging ghoul. You just play them the turn before. Most classes don’t have full board heals. Priest has circle of healing and holy nova and we still don’t know if there will be some form of card cost reduction to allow this card to be combined with more expensive aoe’s like ravaging ghoul.

        It’s a good card.

          March 27, 2017 at 9:59 am

If the opponents board is huge you can’t afford to use a 2 turn board clear… and if the opponents board is small then this loses value. This is not as good of a card as you make it seem

      • Zondalf
        March 27, 2017 at 10:18 am

Revenge cycles out with this set. So if you’re running revenge you’re going to be in wild in with thaurrisan still being available. So you’d still be able to revenge and use mosh in one turn.
As for ghoul, it would make the combo too powerful because then you would get both creatures alive which would then make it that much harder to stabilize I think it’s fair for it not to be able to combo them.

This is actually a 10 mana 2 card combo card.

  18. Nathan Ritscherle
    March 26, 2017 at 7:02 pm

Decent card, but control warriors don’t really want to have to run raw whirlwind.

Whirlwind combo sweet deathwing no drawback

    Great non-aggro warrior card

  21. I don't play Warrior
    March 26, 2017 at 6:44 pm

This is a great card. With the addition of King Mosh, control Warriors have access to 3 brawls – and they’re guaranteed to win one of them. This guy can come into an empty board with 7 health, potentially be very difficult and resource intensive to remove, and deal a very respectable 9 damage a turn.

Combos with whirlwind nicely but if the mets is still going to be as fast as it is then the clear would be like 5 turns late. Still good imo though
