Secret Hunter seems to be becoming a thing lately – and I really don’t like it :\

While this card seems completely overpowered at first, its closest comparison is Kirin Tor Mage from Mage. And how much play did that card see? None.
The problem with this card is that you have to have enough secrets in your deck to reliably draw them along with this card to have a good curve, while having a two drop as well, so you have a reason to not play the secret on turn two, and instead combo it with this card. Mad Scientist and Mysterious Challenger were overpowered because they drew secrets from your deck, which doesn’t thin out your hand and doesn’t require you to draw them in the first place. Consistency is everything.

      You are right.
Maybe turn 5 with lock and load?

I’m not sure how great it is, but it does seem a great deal better than Kirin Tor Mage to the point they don’t seem comparable. It can do multiples secrets as well as ones you draw while he is in play. More importantly the 3/4 body should be loads better on turn 3 than a 4/3. Contests 2/3’s and 3/2’s (pretty much all 2 drops) really well and lives through all the 3 damage nukes (torch, frostbolt, face rockbiter, lightning bolt, win axe, bow etc.) so on curve is likely to get you a 2 for 1. I agree having to have secrets in your deck you intend to draw tends to be an issue but this card does seems like it offers decent board presence and tempo at the same time. It is likely to be big when it works and a 3/4 for 3 tends to be respectable when it doesn’t.

wonder if this is the card that brings Eater of Secrets into the meta?

unlike Kirin Tor Mage – this card has good stats and Hunter’s secrets are much better and more difficult to deal with.

Seems like a great fit in Yogg & Load Hunter. Now we can cut some of the less impactful spells and replace them with Cloaked Huntresses, Arcane Giants, and maybe Medivh. Screws up the Elekk draws a bit, but not really a problem. Heck, just cut Elekk and replace it with a secret.
