Absolutely designed against aggro decks, it allows self-heal without losing too much tempo. I’d still pick a Tar Creeper over this as anti-aggro 3-drop, though.
What’s more interesting is that this card seems to be what we can use to evaluate Lifesteal as a stat. So based on this card, lifesteal is worth 0.5 mana or 1 stat points – this means that it can be really mana-effective on class cards that value the self-heal way over this.

Early on, lifesteal is worth less than later on. Might make some ftp priest deck if heavy aggro meta
3 mana 3/3 is very mediocre. Lifesteal in the early game doesn’t matter as much in my opinion. Maybe in a very heavy aggro meta this might see niche play
This card made with aggro decks in mind. Quite possible to heal for 6. Still okay to heal for three. Wrong move, and can heal for 9.
Its health itself absorbing 3 damage. Any aggro kill this minion in one blow means 6 damage that could go to your face otherwise.
Though, its healing not armor. Early game. Your health still quite high often the lifesteal hit the health cap. Mid game to late, this minion start irrelevant when facing huge army the opponent has.
Against mid range, life steal have no value and just become 3/3, against control it become laughable.
Its meh, though still much better considering low options priest have for their early turns.
In my opinion its a good arena card but in standart you have much better 3 drops. The funny thing bout this is that its better tham prince valanar (the baddest card i ever heard of) …. Ben Brode said that tthe card is Reno level… Nope
I can’t even think of much to say about this card. It’s just not very good. In arena it’s a very average to slightly below average pick because health doesn’t matter as much in Arena where it’s all about board control and minion combat, and a 3 mana 3/3 isn’t very good in that world.
Anyone notice that blizzard likes to test out new card text with 3 or 4 mana 3/3’s?
Examples:
Soot Spewer with mechs, Dragonhawk Rider with inspire, Tomb Spider with discover, Kabal Chemist with the gangs, Cyclopcian Horror for whatever Old Gods had in mind for that trash card, Thunder Lizard for Elementals, and FINALLY this priest cards that would be better in any other class (like most priest cards) for lifesteal.

Why not play earthen ring?
If your minions only live 1 turn youre not playing priest right. Probably still not playable but you have to factor in all the buffs the priest class have a simple power world shield can turn this into a heal six in some cases. Priest cards, are very rarely played alone which is why this card is so much better than earthen farseer

However, Earthen Ring Farseer heals any character for 3 health, not only your hero. This card’s healing is too delayed.
You would never want to play your buffs on this card as priest anyways, with it only being at 3 health
Terrible combo card
Unless you’re desperate for a big heal
But Priests have better ways of healing then this anyways
So I don’t think this will see much play in constructed decks
Decent card for arenas
Seems legit.
It’s not terribly exciting … but it’s a solid drop for Priest. Especially Buff Priest as you just can’t afford to leave it on the board.
The nightmare, “man I wish I had some hard removal in my hand”, scenario would be:
T2: Coin > Acolyte of Agony
T3: Kabal Talonpriest
T4: PWS > Divine Spirit > Inner Fire … 16/16 Lifesteal
… then again, Silence Buff Priest could get a 16/16 on the board on turn 3 with the coin… or an OTK monster on turn 4, so I can’t really see this getting a lot of play in constructed.
Actually not that bad. Works wonders against aggro. Pseudo taunt + 3 health unless aggro plays 3 damage spell, but no current aggro deck does so…
Kill Command is technically a 3 damage spell, so is frost bolt, although most hunter decks would never use it for that and there aren’t any really aggressive mage decks other than secret mage, which is more midrange.

3/3 3 mana lifesteal. this is a very good common card. with the possibility to play PW:Shield for free is even stronger!
Will this card help me with aggro, more than talonpriest would?
At it worst this soaks up a weapon stack and net you 3 health. That’s not good enough.
Talonpriest with it’s 4 health least takes an upgraded swing , or a patches with himself.
Still bad, but performs way better in any alternate scenario.
Why not play both? This card gets better if you can Talon Preist it.
Solid 3 drop for priest. Can deal with other 3 drops and also heals you. Buff it a little with shield and keep him alive. Tons of healing 5/5

Blizzard missed a great opportunity here if they were going to name it like acolyte of pain. Why not say….make it draw you a card whenever it deals damage?

It is not stronger really. This would not necessarily save you in late game, while the Legendary definitely could.

Yeah why can’t they just make some warrior cards like a 1-cost with 5 attack and charge and a pirate tag or something.
Yea, Blizzard need to release more OP cards. The only good cards in the set so far have been the Princes and Snowflipper Penguin! Where are the 1 mana 3/3 Pirates?! What about the 5 mana fill your board with Jade Idols and give them Taunt?! C’mon Blizzard!
I can’t agree more. It’s like they’re intentionally making KoTFT cards underwhelming so that the previous expansions will continue being Tier 1. Priest would definitely need better cards than this. Maybe a 4 mana 5/5 with Battlecry: Deal 5 damage to all other minions? It would make sense, really. I mean Priest needs a bit more survival cards. Maybe a 2 mana 2/7 with Divine Shield, Taunt, Lifesteal? It would make Priest rise again and be a viable class.
You know what? I got the answer. Don’t even release any more cards. Hearthstone should just be a game where you click ‘play’ and it automatically gives you the victory screen and a gold star! Earn 10 stars and they will mail you a trophy!

Being not impressed by a card means I’m crying? I just see a lot of rage accumulated being dumped in some random comment like mine.
This card looks bland, not bad, not excellent, just bland. It’s like a priest exclusive version of Ironfur Grizzly, or some kind of delayed Earthen Ring Farseer.
All I see in these comments is rage, with vague arguments and sarcasm because I’m not impressed by a bland card. I’m not a pro player for sure, but I have golden priest, I think I have played some matches with the class getting this card.
Just because you’ve played a ton of Priest doesn’t make you knowledgeable on how good a card will do, if that’s what you were trying to imply with your last sentence.
Card is admittedly bland, but its a common and supposed to be, its one of those basic examples of a new keyword at play, similar to Pterrordax Hatchling and Volcanosaur in Ungoro.
Also a 3/3 Lifesteal is better than your two examples just because the Priest has easy access to keeping it alive and getting more lifesteal procs out of it.
Because you don’t enjoy the fundamentals of the game. This card is alpt of people bread and butter when it comes to arena, new and ftp players. You commenting meh on it is kind of like saying you don’t appreciate the game truely.
